I'm tired of everyone calling OutSpark liars, thieves, etc.........
What you don't realize is that they work like any human being, and takes breaks like anyone else who works deserves.
Their work is not to log on to Fiesta every single day and talk, but to plan out events for the website, ALL the games, releasing new content, and un-bugging current problems.
Game issues:
FIESTA- The bugs will be fixed soon, as well as new content. Not too much of a problem, but hang in there!
SOS- The economy on Adeline is what it is, can't be fixed. There are still some people who think it'll change- it WON'T. So ADAPT. Yes, I don't play, so I don't fully comprehend, but if I did, I'd do what I just advised.
PROJECT POWDER- Not too much to complain about, going well here.
WIND SLAYER- Keep in mind that this game is the newest on the block, so of course it'll be a little glitchy. Give it time and it'll all be fixed.
BLACKSHOT- ....MOST problems here. It will come out when they say it'll come out, not sooner. So stop bugging the CL's and GM's, and go practice on COD until it comes out.
Really, just help out, it makes the GM/CSR/CL lives MUCH easier, and they can focus on expanding content and helping fix bugs, ok?
Thanks for those who read the entire thing.........I meant it ;)

So to sum it up, the point of this thread is pretty much what Kaz Hirai was saying about the PS3 at the 2006 Sony Conference:
OutSpark's "not about cutting corners, or rushing a product to release".
They're certainly not interested in "conventional thinking or gimmicks--gimmicks--gimmicks".
They sent a message and the message was clear: Secret of the Solstice "is [I]NOT an incremental upgrade" to a previously developed game (like Ragnarok).
In the end, OutSpark's goal is to make themselves as resourceful "...like air conditioning in a car".
So, "what does all this mean", you ask? Simply put...:

It might as well be overkill with a forum name like "OutSpark General", ☺.
Can't remember ppl back in 07' griping that much where threads were, when Fiesta was the only thing thriving 'round these parts.
So many good things to reminisce about--oh, there I go again. Sorry.:o
Come to think of it: OutSpark apparently didn't think that there would ever be a need for an Off-Topic in OutSpark General, for reasons like 'inactivity'. Well I'll tell ya OS, it's threads like THIS, that are worthy of their own little nook outside of the game forums, away from forums like this one.

I think BnB is dead...
Well, I've always thought of BnB as the kind of game people play on-and-off casually. I think the reason why there isn't a lot of forum activity is because there hasn't been any content updates or events in months and the main issues with the game (the lack of communication and regular moderation from Outspark, how Sparkcash-dependent the game is, etc.) have been discussed many times in the past (and none or hardly any changes have been made, or feedback given back), so there really isn't a whole lot to talk about.

Pfft. Bull. You can't decide to take a break from a business which servers "over 2 million players".
OS are crap. Terrible. Shocking. Absolutely horrendous. They need to learn a bit more about Customer welfare, and how to communicate ;full stop.
There is no point replying directly to me, to flame me or w/e due to me no longer checking out the forums reguarlly, nor playing the game at all. I just thought I'd let you know how much bull I think this thread is.

Let me add another point:
You joined February 2009.
You have no idea what outspark has done and frankly don't have enough experience to say what's what or to even be in this argument.
Additionally you're also only a kid, actually ashmod is older than you, so why should your statement be anymore factual than his?
And let me dub in another obvious thing - You're flaming... The next best thing to being right.

Thanks for those who read the entire thing.........I meant it ;)I can agree with everything about Windslayer and almost everything about BlackShot. I cannot agree with you on Project Powder, which I believe is the worst community in a racing game, EVER. Least, that is when I played it around half a month ago. No opinion on either Fiesta or SoS, haven't played either yet, and not willing to. On BlackShot, if it was going to be changed so rapidly from CBT2 to Open Beta, I don't think we should have even bothered to test it till this issue is done, and then release it into Open Beta over time. Nothing we can do about that now though. Oh, and COD does not equal Blackshot
Technically, OutSpark does not release content, the developers that make the games give it to them on a regular basis (which from the looks of it, is every other wednesday (least on WindSlayer). I honestly don't understand why OutSpark decided to stay in California after continuous budget cuts to schools from the governor, which will make future employees worse overtime, but that is their loss (or perhaps gain if this turns around fast, which it won't, probably). I agree however, with what you put as their work. I wouldn't have went all irate over how we think they are some sub-human species that doesn't eat or sleep and does their job all day and night. That, in my opinion, can be considered as an involuntary provocation. Then again, I came from a forum where the mods were a lot more stricter than they are now, and not as many loopholes for a flamer/troll to get away with everything.

Oh... I'm not upset. At all really.
I'm playing Fiesta EU w/ Gamigo. And, not being all advertisey here, but it's much better.
The GM's actually communicate in the game with you. And the CS isn't everything to them.

Difference between playing by the rules, and being a suck up.
Face it, I'm not breaking any rules... Actually, my account was deleted; so I'm not multi-accounting. Therefore, no need for an IP ban.
Besides, oh no... OS can only ban your Dynamic IP, which I can change by simply reseting the router...

Pro Pow is still in beta? O.O
first off, thank you to the OP for the reminder that the virtual world is run by no more than us mere mortals. and i would like to add that i believe, to some extent, that it is not entirely OS's fault for all the bugs. They can really only do so much when OnsOn gives them bugged patches. I'm confident that the Outspark team knows what they are doing. When they plan an event that is not "OnsOn" specific, it usually comes off without a hitch. maybe laag, but that's not anyones fault but the server load and individuals connections. [PS.....Please start another server :D the current ones are a bit crowded :) ty]
Back on topic, and in reply to both posts above.....please realize that most games that Outspark is currently hosting are in some form of beta. Fiesta has been in beta since it started over a year ago. i would be extremely surprised if a newer game was out of beta sooner. (propow) so......they are still adding features, maps, styles, fixing glitches, etc.....which means that the game is not out of the "beta" phase. u can expect this to be the case with any game that has weekly/monthly updates. Not to name games, but i believe other popular MMO's are also in beta and are just not advertised as such. how can u call a game complete if u are constantly debugging/moding skills, races, classes, etc :D
//END dissertation.

One last thing: to be really "FTW", we must all embrace diversity, in all its shapes and forms. If we continue to move persons out of their natural niches and force them to live in segregated, designated offshoots, we'll have disputes and lots of people leaving this [once] beautiful tech hub.
We can't all be a group of "yes men (and women)". We have to think about choices to be made from every possible angle. If people outside this realm know more about what's going on around here than the thrivers do, there's definitely a problem.
Under no circumstances should we all have to be tossed into a situation where once-friends become forever-enemies of each other. Nobody wins. We all need to listen to each other, and not try to manipulate one another's opinion.
A company's key strategy should not be just to invest in money, but in people. This strategy was exercised and philosophized best by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg. Without people, a company has no real direction nor passion.
I understand it may be technically inappropriate to discuss personal life topics, but I'm going through a similar situation in my church. We've lost lots of people due to the direction our new pastor has lead us (as well as ourselves) into. We're at the edge where it's about to close its doors altogether. It all started with many issues, in and outside of worship. Last Sunday was a sure sign that what were once fellow religious brothers and sisters of mine, have now become cold, blunt, enemies. U_U
"What's that got to do with anything?", one may ask. I say everything. We can't have any more big disputes anymore. For the first unannounced change that occurs around these parts, can and will surely create entropy (chaos) more than all the forum spamming here combined. Go ahead and call that an exaggeration, if you will; I try best not to make stuff up.
Forum Officials/Staff/others may not be our enemies, nor our friends, but if anythings going to function right in a game or on this website, WE MUST WORK T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R!!!
If nothing of what was said in this post doesn't even remotely appeal to anyone's logic and/or heart, the "W" in the title of this thread might as well be replaced with an "L" (sorry, Asmodejjj).
Okay, my hands are gettin' tired. I wish OutSpark and all of its users well. I pray the future will be brighter for both! :-D

Noooo...that's happening because the church does not have the ability to filter information anymore. They have no way of controlling the masses with a fear of oblivion and the promise of immortality. The church has done nothing but lie, corrupt, and dominate the peoples of Earth during its entire history, and people are finally realizing it. The unknown isn't so unknown anymore and the new age of secularization will usher in a new era of human evolution the likes of which we haven't seen in 6,000 years of civilization. No longer do we have to pander to organizations that have done nothing but cause death, fear, and intolerance.
I do enjoy their attempts at gaining control again, the recent decision by the Catholic Church to re-instate the policy of selling indulgences, something that hasn't been done since the Protestant Reformation. Yea, that doesn't have ulterior motives. "We guarantee that if you give us more money, god will let you buy his way out of Purgatory."

I appreciate the comparison but Religion is not a topic that we discuss on the forums here anymore. Simply because differing views have led to some rather large flame wars in the past.
As for where Outspark stands, I'm sure you all have your opinions one way or another and they vary depending on your own experiences here. Remember though that they are people, and that unlike a machine, not everything will come out perfect the first time. As of late they have been severely understaffed and this has hindered their ability to deal with all of the issues at hand. With the addition of the new GMs we have seen an increase in GM presence in the forums, in game, and in planning/executing events. They're working on it.
The latest patch focused primarily on fixing a lot of bugs instead of putting things in the cash shop- which a lot of users have voiced concerned about in the past...I, for one, am thankful for that. I recognize that their are still bugs out there that need work, but I appreciate when some of them at least are addressed. To me, this shows that they are listening to us as players, and while they may not post in a thread...they may see it and take the criticism or comments into consideration.
