How many times has this happened to you? You join a group, and everyone in the group is pretty much on the same page,...except one guy. And this guy is attacking everything, more importantly he's attacking other teams mobs. They care nothing for what anyone else says in the party, they have their own agenda. They got a quest they need to complete. These players need to have some justice thrown down upon them!

My proposal would be a bounty hunting system, something expensive enough to not be abused, but available enough to work. Here's how it would go. In each town or zone we have a sherrif or guard or some other authority figure. You can go up to this guys and pay him a silver and report someone's name as having performed a criminal act. Once that person recieves 5 complaints, they have a bounty on their head and their name goes up on a list that you can scroll through. Now if they continue to get complaints...the bounty keeps going up a silver at a time. Now when a bounty has been put on your head, an annoucement goes out throughout the realm that said character has a bounty and at that moment they can be attacked. They can't attack back because remember, this is justice. They can run or try to elude you, but when they are finally killed, a scroll will drop. You take this scroll to the guard or sherrif and collect whatever reward has been put on their head. Now to further the justice we should do this, each time that person logs on, there should be an announcement to let everyone know they're on. Their name should also have a little set of scales beside them so everyone knows this character needs some justice. Furthermore they should not be allowed to delete a character that has a bounty on their head, and they should not be able to create a new character until their bounty has been collected. Now once a bounty has been collected on a character, it frees them and they can go about their Fiesta lives as normal. Well, mostly normal. For 30 days after your justice has been served a frowny face icon should be listed next to their names to let everyone know that they recently were in need of justice and to beware that this players can be disruptive.

Is this alot to consider? Certainly, but it may be the only way to change their behavior. And disruptive players need to be pruned from the game. We all have done something at some point to offend another player. I've accidentally attacked another players mob, or looted something I thought they were leaving to rot. I've even "saved" people I thought were "running" from a mob only to have them completely chew me out for the kindness of my act. The point is, I don't do things intentionally to bother people. The people who do need to go. What do you think of this Justice system? I think it covers the basis enough to be functional for all.

Nice idea!

But personally, I think it's a little harsh.
So that member can get killed over and over again?
Sure, that will scare spammers away.

But if someone does something bad on mistake, and that person gets killed over and over again, that will just annoy innocent people.

And how are you going to make sure that the reporters are actually reporting someone that has done something wrong? There could be just a team that wants to gang up on someone in revenge ...

But overall I think it's quite a nice idea. :)

Well it takes 5 separate people to pay a silver each to get a warrant issued. And once that character has been killed for their warrant they're free. They only get killed once per bounty. It's not like they are forever on a kill list.

The only problem with that is we high levels would abuse it like no tomorrow. 1 silver is easy to get ahold of at later levels. Maybe if the price was level based, I don't know how else to really suggest it but it's definitely an interesting idea.

Hoho! this idea of yours has been implemented before in other online games. Bounty system..pay to kill ;) but this idea is only only possible if world PK function is enable 1st. Might be a slight change in outspark gaming concept and possibly not granted. But i seen it work before, so credits for stepping forward and mentioning it ^^

I think 2Moons has a somewhat similar system but it's only for PKers not KSers. As soon as you PK someone your name changes to a different colour and you become 'marked'. This mark lasts a certain amount of time and within that time other people can attack you, and kill you, without getting marked themselves because they are exacting justice against the PKer. Of course, this is considering there is a world PvP system in place.

KSing would be a little more touchy since, some kill steals are accidental. I've made some accidental kill steals in my play time and I would hate to be put on a bounty list because of it.

I also see people abusing this system as well but it is an interesting concept to say the least.

Justice for being annoyed? Only 5 complaints is way to few. It would basically become a system of institutionalized intimidation. If you don't like how they play in your party, cut them free. Let them live and die alone. You shouldn't have the right to pay for the enjoyment of killing them. That's really what it is, they're not going to be set back for long, but you get the joy of having them killed.

So you're not really talking justice here. We're talking about vengeance.

It might be kind of fun to play the fugitive once in a while. Try to evade the bounty hunters. But it would only be fun if it was voluntary. It would make a cool PvP event or quest.

Exactly, thats a perfect reason how this is a great idea, but also a bad one at the same time, good sides and downsides.

I'm good with vengence :P

Seriously, I have to say that the whole KSing thing is terrible. Players don't care. I was the leader ofa group once and I had a member continuously attacking other groups mobs and not listening and I did cut him loose and he did die. But then some kind hearted Cleric came along, gave him a rez, he joined another group and just started it all over again. Any system can be abused, look at the American legal system, but I digress.

Then Justice system I proposed is kind ofa tongue-in-cheak offer kind of solution, but too many people just don't care.

well i kindof think that is a bad idea for one reason. When you die at lvl 25 u lose over 200exp points.

But if they didn't lose exp that would be fine. OR they lost a set amount no matter what. Like they lose 1% or something like that. Cuz different lvls lose different amounts of exp.

Terrible, terrible idea. Going that far just because one guy in your party doesn't play by the rules.

There is a reason why there's a BAN function in a party setting.

Looking at your first post it just seems to me that your angry with people who do this, and simply banning them from your party isn't satisfying you.. it does look more like vengance to me.

I have to agree with the others about this being a vengeance thing. It is a really, really bad idea. If you don't like someone in your party and neither does anyone else - kick them! Why else use the party system if not to take advantage of all the features.

Oh, and jackasses will NEVER leave the game. A good handful of people play games just to make your life miserable online. You can kill them but they always come back. It wouldn't work and it would only waste money.
