counterblow isnt what most ppl think it is. all it does is blocks the atk, it doesnt hit them directly afterwards, u have to execute the attack

Counter blow does deal damage. The damage is high, and it is wind based.
But, bear in mind, counter blow only works on melee attacks. So magic and arrows don't get countered.

For any monks deciding what they want to be, take your play style into consideration. If you have a weakness against people who jump in the air and melee attack you (rogues, warriors) then counter is probably your best bet. But bear in mind the shaolin has a buff that allows you to not be stunned by enemy attacks, which is extremely good for 1v1 (though it can get you killed fast in situations with a lot of people spamming attacks).

Anyway counter haves good dmg like a mage with catralige. It works kinda water bomb, hits you 300-400 and best that freeze enemy for a short time.

But one question, does counter blow block range atacks? i mean, does it not take any dmg?
