Reinforcements?

i know reinforcements give some bonus damamge to your weapon.
i know u have to put a elementarium, then put your weapon and.. voila! u have a more powerful wep... BUT..

is always 100% the succes rate of enhancement?
the weapon can break? downgrade or whatever?

The success rate is 100%.
The weapon CANNOT break. As far as downgrading.... Elements can cancel eachother out, but not downgrade in the sense that they can in SotS or Fiesta.

Also you can only place 5 reinforcements on any piece of equipment.
