Magci Spells have no concrete Damage?

Playing a Mage at the moment, lv21 and have 2 attack spells:
Mind Burst lv16 spell and Magic Ligthining lv21 spell.
Is the damage inacurate? Theres no difference betwen the damage of these 2 spells, its all the same, only that Lightning is a spell 5 lvls above and eats 1MP more to use. Why is that?

have you been adding int? My mindburst does about 105 on a maderabbi for example and my magic lightning oes about 115-120. theres a difference you just need to wait until you upgrade your staff or add more int to see it.

My Mind Burst does 225-240 and Lightning does like 5 damage more, well nvm the difference is not high.
