Kill Stealing

Hey, does anyone out there know if kill stealing (KSing) is against any rules in WindSlayer.

For anyone who doesn't know, kill stealing is when you attack a monster someone else is already killing with the intention of leeching some exp out of it without putting effort in to killing it yourself.

On multiple occations this has happened to me while mobbing. I can understand that if you see a huge mob running at you, your first reaction may be to attack it but if someone is in the corner spamming attacks and you start killing, that's a bit rude.

I know this is punishable in Fiesta if you have proof that it was done multiple times, on purpose and I hope that it doesn't get overlooked in WindSlayer.

PS: Don't give me that "The map doesn't belong to you" response. I know that. I'm not stupid. It's just rude of someone to leech exp off your hard work. I hit every one of those monsters to lure them to me so I have their aggro. That, in a sense makes them mine for the time being.

IN my opinion, if you hit a mob and run off, you relinquish the rights to said mob. Now if you are in a corner killing the mob of mobs already, then that should be your right.

The problem here is your mobbing to begin with. With all the higher leveled players and lack of maps, trying to take an entire map of mobs won't ever go well. If there are 6 people on the same map killing and you try to mob, of course you're gonna get ksed. It's inevitable.

What i hate most of all is when someone is in a huge map, making a huge mob, and try's to take every monster, and try's to steal your kill, as your killing one. Then when he/she is done mobbing, they would say "get out, i was here first". Then starts ksing you for doing noting

I also like the fact that often when you enter a map, you have no idea someone is mobbing so you just start killing stuff. Then, when they come on radar they yell at you for stealing their kills (the ones they haven't gotten to yet). I have a strategy, though. I say nothing, whatsoever, leave them alone and keep killing whatever I darn well please. 100% of the time, so far, they have gotten progressively more obscene and left. One guy said something vaguely racist (as if he has any idea what I look like) as well. I laughed very, very, very hard at his stupidity. I could have taken a screenshot, but I'm not a ****.

There's a difference between the "hit and run" strategy of fighting and hitting a mob and running off. Mobbing involves intentional running to strike another mob whereas hit and run involves hitting, taking a few steps back, and hitting again.

Personally i think people who mob an entire map and just sit there and kill everything is stupid and makes anyone else in the map grinding very difficult and i do not approve of it. That said... Sadly mobbing is not against any Outspark rules and regulations but Kill Stealing is. so if you want to report someone for trying to lvl just like you are than you are allowed but you will also been seen as a complete *place expletive here*. thank you

You get exp in proportion to how much damage you did. Moreover, you get the item if you did the most damage. thus kill stealing is moot unless its a high level kill stealing people much lower in level.

i hate kstealers i have this problem alot. just today i was fighting and i had it happen 3 times i would attack a single monster and after 75% of his health was gone this guy would dash over and hit him he repeated this through like 10 monsters.

The only thing I know is that I KSed one monster by lag and suddenly got one less manner. It seems like some people can't handle at least one ks by error... I'll liked to report him back as fake report abuse but dunno who was the dude who reported me.

ksers who only aim at people whos already attacking in the corner with mobs should live in a fire while a tire melts in there eye in my opinion. i understand if the map is crowded n not enough monsters available but when a map is empty n they aim only for ur mob is pretty much player harrassment... happens daily to me since 90% of the time the kser is a mage n i end up losing drops + exp since i cant out dmg a mage that is only 2-3 lvl difference (im a rogue)

i myself dont mind if i get ks once or twice for reasons it can be accidental since some player do lag on another person screen but so far all those mages who ks me do it for long durations of time (30minutes to a hour+) just because they can out damage me (also includes stalking me in game). im not sure if reports do go thru nor do gm read them n act on it at the moment but either way it gets quite annoying seeing how a person would harrass another player for so long (but in some cases i do feel like gm are acting upon it since i dont c the players that was reported was ksing for like 45minutes straight).

I hate Ksing, like when like lvl 10s start attacking your monster. But if someone is mobbing the whole map thats not fair and its annoying, I think if that if the monsters in the mob start to flank you the normal reaction is to attack back! Also if your monsters start to attack the other person they should be allowed to kill it, its self defense...

i used to get really mad but then i came to this realization they are only trying to level and well thats me to im trying to level now if thye keep doing it ill just party them because sometimes that what ksing means where as if they are just being obnoxious then well change the channel your playing on i find that to be the best thing to do

I don't mind ksing, but thats because i'll do it too. Though i have 3 different occasions where i'll do it on purpose and not accident because of the lag in game.

1. If i'm hunting and they ks me constantly trying to drive me away, i'll just do it back to them. I'm a mage i out dmg them. unless they too are mage then it's even.

2. If the person is taking every monster on the map. it just annoys me. mob 4-5 monsters, don't take all of them we need exp too.

3. this goes with two but slightly different. When they are creating a huge mob then they run right past you and there mob jumps at you and traps you in there. it's annoying, i've died like that before.

So if you mob a whole map and a mage starts atking like crazy. chances are i'm that mage. And it is all just out of spite, i don't ks for the exp.

i absolutely hate ksers. when your level 18 with a mob of 4 or 5 monsters and they leach of you every time you atract a mob, it gets annoying. its even worse when you ask them nicely to please stop kill stealing, yet they do it anyway, and keep doing it to spite you. at that point, i do report people, because its ruining the game for me.

You can't mob on popular maps and expect no one to kill steal; because you're pretty much attempting to claim the map is yours.

An Elementalist tried KS'ing at my Elem in Amakusa and accused me of stealing his mob. the situation was, he was at a PvP room and the monsters didn't have Red "aggre" indicators on them. Of course, I was farming so I killed them all. Then I roamed the map and this Elem started following me, killing the monsters I was hitting first.

him: hey! you're stealing my mob!
me: wa?
him: lol i came here first!
me: so
him: don't take my mob!
me: did what?
him: i came in this map first, this is my mob!
me: does this map have your name on it?
him: ****!!!

anyway, he continued KS'ing and I reported him to the admin. Not sure what happened to him, though.

Lol i may be the perfect example. Like i always say. Some people think they own something in this game but, they don't. IF someone tries to interrupt my training or kill some of the mobs i have gathered well. Nothing i can do. Is not my mob. Is just a mob of monsters. Yes, i see a mob in a map i'm training and no matter who it is from i go immediately and kill it. I wont get banned for training. Im not going to be on your behind trying to kill everything you kill but, if you think you can hit all monsters and name them yours at the same time your in terrible mistake.

KSer[s] are just people looking to get EXP and Level Up.Some of them I've seen just have some nasty comments.So,iUsually just Switch Channels and let peace be peace.
I've seen my friends being KS when iLeech and sometimes they'll KS,too.Not purposely but accidental because the KSer usually says,"Sorry" or some form of guilt.

iUsually just go to another Channels with my mate if there is already a party or a KSer.iHaven't seen a KSer that has follow'd myself and mates yet.

Sry bout that but he still doesnt seem to know (or care) that hes being a total jerk and totaly ignorant. Ksers may just be trying to gain exp but heres a hint. You get more exp if you kill your own monsters. or go into a party that way you can help kill monsters if you cant do it yourselves.

Its'ok,mate.
Jerk,ignorant,[Insert Word] and so on.Were all one at some point or at some particular subject/reason everytime.
He just has this one as each of us[and myself] have one in other particular subject/reason.
