monk v priest

Hi i'm a pretty new priest, i've been doing a lot of pvp, and i find that when i go against monks 1v1 there's absolutely nothing i can do xD Anyone have any tips on how to take your class out as a priest? I don't really think there's any good way :\

Main problem is that all of monk's skills activate so fast. I'm always getting hit before my attacks activate. If I try to run away, they're kicking me in my bum, if I try to jump away I get kicked in the air 2 times before i can even touch the ground again, it's really annoying and it's really making me think about choosing a different class xD my favorite thing to do in group fights is heal...but I don't get any points for doing that...so that sucks too...

anyone of you monks have some words of wisdom for a frustrated priest? :|

try doing like most other preists do use your weak but fast atack that should make your opponent freeze and then if you time it right just use a spell that's really the only way for 1v1

Monks are very annoying. Use the map to your advantage and find ways to make them trail you. Yes the weak attack can be very effective but a good monk will be able to get away every time. Priest cast are very slow.

If they are shadowing your movements or predicting where you are going then there are a few things to try. Single jump instead of double jump, most players dbl and it can throw them off giving you a chance to get some distance. A few times ive held still to watch them jump or dash in a direction and that leaves them wide open. Time their landings for a holy/earth strike.

If its a 1v1 situation you could always just thrown them and strike. A monk will always be able to counterattack that but if you self heal then you can outlast them. A great way to be called a cheap *** lol.

Use a wooden sword and jump attack like a monkey on speed. If they get you down low on health and mana, throw on your armor spell and PvP like a novice. Also, they don't have anything ranged beyond wind kick so if you can get them to charge into a thorn bush, you can pound them with spells. They will block (hopefully) but will still take serious damage.

What weak but fast attack? I don't know of any spells like that.
