Frustrated new priest

Hey everyone!

I'm pretty new to the game, just hit lvl 11 priest yesterday, and I really love the class, but there's things about it that are really frustrating me, hopefully some people here can help me out.

One thing is in pvp, our only attack spell is slow cast, and there's some classes that have attacks that are very fast, and it feels like we can't do ANYTHING against these classes. Monks and archers have been the main problem here for me. I don't have our other attacks yet, so I was wondering if the attacks we get later on might have faster cast speed or something to help with this problem? Earth strike and thorn brush

Another thing is, we don't get any credit for heals in pvp, which is really lame...what's the point in being a healer then? To help everyone else get high scores but not yourself? It's really frustrating to be healing everyone and saving your team's butt, but then you get like 10 wsp...

Hmm... what else? I was thinking about maybe trying a mage instead, but they probably have the same problem with slow spells. I don't like archer classes, and I didn't really want to do melee either XD just don't know what my future holds right now, any advice is appreciated, I'm really sad angry and frustrated right now ><

well its not going to get any better in the long run. Our spells do cast pretty slow and the only thing i can tell you is go into pvp maps with lots of people. Don't worry about healing others in pvp till you get you second class.

Earth strike is a little faster in the casting area and i would advice not to use thornbrush in pvp unless you have it mastered.

Hmm...sad...not what i was hoping to hear xD against archers and monks i pretty much get stuck using my regular novice attack abilities, just because the spells are too slow to do anything with...and there's no way i'm gonna kill people with like 20 dmg at a time lol...I guess I'll go try a different class, see if i like something else better :\

Oh, what about DP spells, any of those kinda fast casting?

no idea about DP skills as all second classes are not avalible yet.

priest aren't all that bad thought.

Hmm alright, thanks again though. I really would like to stay with priest, I've just been very frustrated with it tonight, some good monks and archers kept me from really doing anything in pvp for a good amount of time. Even if I dodge one of their attacks PERFECTLY they can get off A SECOND attack before my holy strike finishes casting...it's REALLY annoying!!!!

I'm going to test warrior and/or monk over the next few days I think...I'd rather not be melee but i'll see if i like it or not :3 As frustrated with priest as I am, it's still the class that appeals to me the most...I might stick with it regardless :\

merkels I to have a priest which is 30 and I have no problem dealing with archer and monks in PVP. You just need more experience dealing with them and you will eventually find out how to kill them like me :)

Arena discriminates against priests that don't play like warriors or mages. Try Death Match, where people claim you get points for healing and where you just get more points anyway.
