Ive basically mobbed every map, or well that's my goal, and i am going to post stats on every map with pictures

pre-popola village map

NOVICE HUNTING PARK

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/8793/20090304144853565.jpg
monsters:Ssiyo
opinion:Not bad for hunting down ssiyo card because its pretty populated and its the only monster there
overall:not bad

POPOLA HILL 1

http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/9836/20090304145330704.jpg
monsters:ssiyo, koring
opinion: ehh this map isn't good because if your just looking for ssiyo, the koring gets in the way and if your looking for koring there's only ever 1 at a time, my advise is not to train here

overall:bad

POPOLA HILL 2
http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/3782/20090304150031631.jpg
monsters:ssiyo
opinion:this is alot like novice hunting park in every way, down to the monster count, If some other person is mobbing novice hunting park, then go here or change channels
overall:not bad

POPOLA BYROAD 1
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/5052/20090304145705952.jpg
monsters:ssiyo, koring
opinion: its the same as popola hill 1 except there a tiny bit more ssiyo here, still not worth mobbing over other maps.
overall:bad

POPOLA BYROAD 2
http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1430/20090304150338957.jpg
Monsters:ssiyo, koring
opinion:this isn't that bad to train on around lvl 4, because your main monster is ssiyo, and you get some taste of a stronger monster, its good to stay here for a little bit.
overall: not bad

Popola village map

POPOLA COURTYARD 1
http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/3619/20090304150857972.jpg
Monsters:ssiyo, koring
Opinion:good map, good amount of ssiyo and koring in a constant flow, medium sized map, good to train here till lvl 6
Overall:good

POPOLA COURTYARD 2
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/643/20090304151425606.jpg
monsters:koring, ororing, cuckoo
opinion: its a pretty hard transition with a variety of monsters, not bad for mobbing at lvl 7, but hard to play any lower than that. This map has the highest koring population out of any other so if your hunting for there card, go here.
overall: ok

PLATEAU ROAD
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/3363/20090304152651616.jpg
Monsters:Cuckoo,ororing
opinion: wow there are a lot of monsters here, amazing map to train at when lvl 7 or 8, medium health monsters yeilding greats results. Also good if your hunting for ororing or cuckoo cards
overall:great

PATH 1
http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/4875/20090304153506376.jpg
monsters: poco, ororing, ppoyang
opinion: this is a good map, theres enough poco and ppoyang here to complete two quests yielding plenty of gold, good exp, nice amount of monsters, and best place to hunt for ppoyang card. In a matter of fact I actually found one here.
overall: great

PATH 2
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/8840/20090304164827546.jpg
monsters: pponyang, poco
opinion: good map to finish up the quest needed to collect acorns, Not bad to train at for a little bit put poco aren't to fun to fight, however it is the best place to hunt for the poco card.
overall: ok

PLATEAU ENTRANCE
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/2497/20090304160857846.jpg
monsters: hendove, cuckoo
opinion: horrible transition because the level gap between these two birds is pretty big, don't train here period. It is pretty good if you want to come back at higher levels to hunt for a hendove card but thats it.
overall: bad

PLATEAU
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3014/20090304161459398.jpg
Monsters: hendove, kamikaze rat
opinion: the monsters aren't to far apart in level, but the population in the map is pretty small, its not worth the paper its written on. The only good thing is that its the best place to hunt for kamikaze rat cards.
overall: bad

FOREST PATH 1
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8326/20090304184541902.jpg
monsters:ssiyo, ororing, koring
opinion: its not the best map because for one theres 1 ssiyo wasting the space that couldve bin a different monster, the difference between koring and ororing are pretty much on the same level but there aren't really that many to mob with.
overall:bad

FOREST PATH 2
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/5879/20090304185323645.jpg
monsters: koring, ororing
opinion: i loved this map, it was so much fun, great place to train at lvl 6, great place to get either ororing cards or koring cards.
overall: great

FOREST PATH 3
http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/8297/20090304163427551.jpg
monsters: hendove, cuckoo, pponyang
opinion: this map was pretty bad, by the time you can take the hendove down the others aren't worth your time. The monsters are too randomly put and a horrible place to train.
overall: bad

FOREST PATH 4
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3729/20090304162134829.jpg
monsters: Hendove, cuckoo
opinion: this is a lot like plateau entrance, the level gap between birds is too much, this map isn't worth your time
overall: bad

SLOPE 1
http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/7718/20090304190928722.jpg
monsters: ororing, koring
opinion: there are many monsters every where, very close to each others levels, fun to mob with. great map to get koring and ororing cards, even better than forest path 2
overall: great

SLOPE 2
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3589/20090304191738822.jpg
Monsters: ororing, pponyang
Opinion: hmm, this map didn't really stand out to well, the difference between pponyang and oroing isnt too big, so mobbing is good, card collecting is moderate, and population is nice.
overall: ok

SLOPE 3
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4881/20090304192435364.jpg
monsters: poco, pponyang, ororing
opinion:wow this map is populated lol, the poco and pponyang are a nice mix, the only problem is its a bad map to mob with because its to much, Im an hp warrior and I almost died beating the mob, also the ororing is a wasted space here. not too good of a map
overall:not bad

FOOTHILL
http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/1401/20090304194235163.jpg
monsters: kamikaze rat, pponyang, cuckoo, hendove, poco, and sometimes rnyx
opinion: this map is the worst map to train at on low levels, and a waste of time on higher levels, the only reason you should go here is to kill the boss, which i realize isn't in the pic because some one just killed him. The monsters are to varied, waste of time.
overall: very bad

by the way a nice little piece of info to know is that I actually gained to lvl 10, mobbing each map around popola village just once. How easy is that? mob each map once and gain to lvl 10? its quick...

Uhm... I'm not sure I understand what you're saying... Are you commenting on the lack of space to grind due to lack of different channels? If so, I don't know what you're talking about. I've gotten nearly 3 levels since Amakusa opened, (That's not even 2 full days) mobbing an entire map of Crows and Kenshi as a now level 29 Warrior, nearing 30.

(Actually using my aoe skills. Not spamming weak attack in the corner. Although, I've heared from a couple different sources that mobbing this way has actually gotten easier since the last patch somehow.)

no mobbing for melee classes has haulted because they changed the ai of the monsters making them stand still, so it doesnt work for rogues, monks, and warriors so please before you rant get your facts straight

Actually I'm a rogue, and I can still mob.Yes,they've dumbed down the AI with the aggro feature but I can tell you a majority of the time the AI will STILL chase you with the exception of a few monsters.I'm mobbing crows and ghost ninjas ATM.

I've found that the AI changes make mobbing a LOT tougher for warriors.

The "hit each mob once and round them up" part is easier, to be sure, but they don't pile up nicely anymore so you can't hit 10-15 of them at once with a double attack. It's tough to get more than 2 or 3 to be in range at once, and even if you get more than that clumped together you still have to avoid their attacks (Samurai's strong attack is not much shorter range-wise than double attack, and hitting multiple monsters with it generally means you have to get in stabbin' range of at least one of them).

You can still do it, but it's not nearly as efficient as it was before. You either take a lot of swords to the face, or spend a lot of time avoiding swords to the face (thus slowing your killing speed).

The "stand in the corner and spam weak attack" thing still works, but again I think it's less efficient now because the mobs are a lot more likely to use their strong attacks on you, so you're stunned for longer (plus, again, they don't pile up as nicely).

The way I got around this is to stand on a platform above the enemies, (Amakusa Shantytown and Amakusa Settlement are perfect for this) stand above them and let them pool in the corner. I then drop down and quickly Double Attack most of them and jump back up, waiting for them to pool in the corner again. It's worked great for me so far. :D

EDIT: I could always post a screenshot of this if you don't believe me :)

I like this guide. I think it's interesting to see the monster distribution in each of the maps.
