You know, I tried that but it didn't work for me. I don't know if the residual players still created a lag or something but I found that the first time I got into the Gold Hill KQ I attempted to do so in an area where I was standing all alone and there was no one else around.

you could try joining the kingdom quest through empty areas like hideout dungeon or top right moonlight tomb entrance, CP entrance are sometimes empty too :)
