I Choose To Be...

More Than This

http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff29/TakimiRyumi/IChooseToBe.jpg

Everyone is something other than themselves here. Because here, we are free of inhibitions-

I choose to be a Cleric. Because I can make a difference and take care of myself. Because I'll be needed. Because I can be the one that holds it all together.

Why are you who you are? Why did you choose to be what you are here?

I want to know.
Tell me~

honestly. i started out as a cleric, and realized 2 a hammer/mace + a shield cost too much :)

so i made a new mage because theres only 1 weapon LOLOL xDDD

I started off with a mage because in most RPG games, I'm the magic user.

However, I made a fighter when I got my mage up to 20 and I really liked playing my fighter.

I think what I like about it most is that the fighter is a class that can easily do things on their own. I don't like relying on always having people to help. I like doing things on my own. I like soloing things, and I don't like to normally ask for help. I found the fighter is the best to do this with, so I stuck with Ako as my main. As of right now, on Ako, I'd say I've probably soloed at least 70% of the time I've been in this game.

That's why I am a fighter.

I find that I've always been drawn to physical combat the most. So I always wondered if I could hack it as a magic user. Or was my path to just stick to in-fighting?

Then I realized, the future is not fixed, and my choices are my own! And yet... how ironic, for I found, I had no choice at all.

I am a warrior. Let the battle be joined.

I first started as a mage, but I didn't like the excessive cooldowns for the spells, despite how powerful and flashy they were. I like to constantly attack.

I prefer ranged over close-combat, and I love the unexpected 'sneak attacks'. So archer was the obvious choice.

I wanted to be a clanker... xD cause i wanna fight, solo, and heal myself.!! perfect till you reach the 8x's {sighs} hehe REALLY honestly i picked cleric because it reminded me of the movie egualibrium... i had NO idea what a cleric was this was the first MMO i have played. So ya LOL at that.

I started out as a cleric, and loved every bit of it. I may have not been the best in PvP or fastest soloer, but I loved being the one to keep people alive. Even when it caused my own death in AoE Parties back in the day (Before Abysses). I still love it today, but the lack of power and quickness solo wise killed it for me.

So I moved to fighter. Mostly because they're one of the best and fastest soloers, and they ruled in PvP. It totally took all my attention, being able to do ungodly damage in such a small time. Not to mention, I also had the responsibility to keep party members alive in AoE parties by mocking and kicking. But once again, I got tired of the class because as a DD Fighter and having no +9 gear I was forced to solo all the time 7x. So I had to move on..

..To a mage! I was never a big fan of mages in any game. They may have had the best looking skills and power, but their squishyness was a turn off. But after awhile, it became fun. I was wanted in parties/duos because of my power to deal damage to multiple enemies at once. Being able to solo 2 parties full of fighters and not dying was a blast. Finally getting FrostNova was a big plus, such a fun AoE. But, good things just had to come to an end. The squishyness finally got the best of me, and I was tired of having to look for a good cleric who could keep me alive.

So now I settle on archer. And in my honest opinion, one of the most fun and best classes in Fiesta. They are solo beasts, seeing all those DoT's above the mobs head, kiting around solo AoEing rooms in abyss and watching all the "Miss Miss Miss" above MY head. I wouldn't ask for anything more! And then I have the ability to find AoE parties pretty easily if I ever got bored of soloing. I've never felt this much fun since my first time playing cleric.

I've bounced around all classes, more then once too. I may still be a cleric at heart, heal slave ftw, but I have found a new home as an archer.

Lmao Im sure when everyone started fiesta they didnt know what was in store for them (usually ppl dont find out about "clanks" or "tanks" til lvl 3x or 4x, and by then they know what class they want to be).

My story is kinda like Ako's, but different.

I started off as an Archer. I like the whole Elvin race thing, partially from Warcraft and LOTR. I got him to 20, and didnt know where to go (Eld was the highest Id been, well I went to CP once for an event 900 exp ea KSing ppl, but still). I ended up grinding him on Blue Phinos til lv 26, and got sick n tired of it. I decided since there was an exp boost, to go ahead and get my other chars to 20.

Hence I fell in love with cleric. After being on a squishy archer what would you expect? And then I prided myself in healing others, keeping them well fit, etc. I guess it goes with me, because I tend to be the sort of advice person. I freely give it out, and people freely ask me for it. So thats kinda like heals.

Of course all my chars are high lvl, so Ive played al, but I still have a soft spot for cleric (tho now its much easier at 8x to keep a pt healed, and kinda.. boring LOL)

I started with an archer, I have no idea why.

I got him to level 14 and made many friends. I had a friend that was a cleric, and I created a cleric and leveled him because I wanted to be just like her (my friend).

I kept leveling him until 6x, when it got really boring..sitting back and healing. So I remade my archer. I loved the high damage compared to my cleric. When I was 60, I loved PvPing so much that I'd never level. Until I met what was the best cleric in the world and I got to level 65. Then he turned 70 and we never party'd since then. I kept soloing or partying, but I quit when I was 69 because leveling was just too hard and since there was no PvP KQ all I could do was grind in abyss for 1-3% an hour. I sold some stuff and made a fighter. He was mostly for PKing, didn't think that I would go past 36, but when I activated my SC items, I decided that it would be a waste if I just used them for PKing. So I started leveling, got to 61 on a month (yeah a bit slow >.>), and then I got a bit bored again. A month later, I got to 70, had fun with KKP KQs, spammed them until I was 71. Now I'm bored again and I don't know what to do. I'll probably sell everything that I own and remake the char that I enjoyed the most..

I started as an archer(on bijou)....

but after i couldnt solo a boogy (due to my noob build, someone told me that int adds to the max dmg) i changed to fighter.

the reason i chose fighter was because, as the character the party mainly depends on to keep them out of trouble (ok a cleric is also depended on.)in pve fighters can only rly do big dmg to single targets but in pvp the single target dmg is massive, and im a big pvper (you wont find my killing people in abyss though unless they attack me or my friends/guildies 1st.)

Hm, when I first started, I was a nubby fighter. Every game I have played, ever since I was little...I've always picked the warrior class. ^^ I always enjoyed the "warrior princess" feel XD, and, well, I loved being able to do anything alone 'cause the warrior class has sexy defs/dmg/hp in like, every game known to man. D;
When I hit 2x, I learned what tanking meant, and found out that was what I had been doing all along the few times I pted, so I chose that role, fixed my build, and tanked to the best of my ability. Choosing my own death over a party member's death. :D I strove to improve, to become stronger so it would be easier for the cleric, to be stronger so I wouldn't lose aggro. I ended up doing a lot of stupid @$%# along the way to prove myself, but eh...I still sucked, rofl. Once I hit 8x, with the huge loss of a good chunk of the old-gen players, I kinda gave up and retired her fully.

But now... I'm a magleric :D
I absolutely LOVE being a full support cleric. Heal slave for gamin' life and proud. >:3 Much like in my tanking days, I'd much rather be the one to die, it's embarrassing if someone dies with me unless, of course, they were a 1shotted fool...some day I should make a Spam Healer 101. xP

As for my mage, haha, she's just pure squishy fun. It's a blast makin' people protect her. xD Seriously, suicidal mage + a pt of friends = awesome.

Well, I started as a mage. STR/END FTW xD My stupidity was due to I had no idea what a mage was, and this was my first MMO. And then Auryen, who I still played with and lived with at this time, was like 'JACI! LOOK! hit the three button its cool @.@!' Yea be lieve it of not we both got to 19 / 20 auto-hitting things xD So when little magey was 19 I realized, oops, effed up. Byebye Magey -deleted-

Then I started an archer. It was fun -nods- I got her to 21 and they Auryen said ' I keep dying >.< I need a cleric' Byebye archer -deleted-

And then there was Aeyr. Took me two hours to come up with a name that wasn't taken. Two hours of baby name sites and other junk resulting in an angry whack of the keyboard that turned up as aekljhdayer or something like that. And i don't know how, but Aeyr was born. <3 My phonetically incorrect spelling of 'air'. And I absolutely loved it. I ended up leveling passed Aury and getting to 75 over the summer. Then I got so extremely irritated that the Kyle's wedding Invitation quest was bugged on the first step, and that quest is like 5 mil for talking to people, and you get like two other queests aside from it, so I gave up on trying to grind it out. Imma a lazy cleric. I'll take anyexcuse to put you on follow and hit 5 when you need it xD

And that's how Eleair came to be. I wanted to try a mage again, the right way, and not to mention I had been in The_Famous for all of my Fiesta life, and Maiya and Kholai were pretty much the coolest things since sliced bread to me xD I had the Kholai thing down, so now I wanted to try what Mai did, Flashy Novas and cool looking PvPs. So I made Ele and I was the coolest little level 18 mage ever in Immortals. :3 I got her to 62 and got horrible bored, I don't know why, but I did. So i went back to Aeyr, capped her and went back to Ele, who is now the coolest, squishiest level 81 mage evar xD

And then I got banned D:
When I didn't know I was banned I made Adaire, my little fighter. I wanted something to play because I couldn't get on my account to play Aeyr or Eleair, and at this point I didn't think I got banned, because I hadn't done anything wrong recently @.@;So I wasn't going to try and remake either of them yet. So I wanted something to play, and alll of my guildies are pretty much fighters that hurt really bad when they decide its time to pick on me when I'm in PVP D: (I'll get you one day Dorin, Killer, tenchi, Thanabanana and Nana, yea you too Noble >.<) So I wanted to try a fighter. But I wanted to be one of those cool ones who could get like 32468745212 HP, so I went full END. Got to 42 and found out I got banned and gave up all together on Fiesta. But now I'm unbanned and playing Eleair again, feebly trying to cap her -nods-

/end boring story xD

Reminded me when Kou talked about being mage and making everyone work to keep you alive- Yesterday I was playing with my nub mage in Robo, level 33, lowest level there is for Robo and purposefully running into a middle of a mob and aoe'ing the bunch. It was usually instant death and it made my day xD

I was probably the most active DD there that KQ... I was making those clerics WORK for their chest of 5 t2 hp pots. =D Then again, I have high expectations of clerics. If I could do it at that level, SO SHOULD YOU!

^^

I started as a fighter, cuz after some reading I figured they had the best hp dmg and def.
At lvl 20 I learned clerics can buff people's hp.

So I made a cleric.
Lvled him to 83 and got the best buff, and now he's waiting for his wife to get 83.

Out of nowhere I made an Archer and after playing as an archer for a while I found out they totally pwn, so I capped him.

I made a mage when my best friend started playing Fiesta again.

And right now I continue on my fighter 8D

Knivy pondered what class to be for a long time. He sat on his spinny chair, spinning and spinning and spinning. then knivy, in a brilliant act of sight, saw the archer class. he immediatly started clicking a billion times on the icon. This, his decided was a bad thing to do, and immediatly shut off. After restarting and reopening fiesta, knivy decided that one click would do, selected the archer. t

In most all games I've played, the archer symbolizes the ultimate charector; able to defeat enemies twice as strong as them through precision and intellegence. Able to solo efficiently was a must for me, as I usually dont really attract parties. Except liddle mages that feel like its their right to be plvled to glory. I dont really like those, and thats where natures protection comes in.

After 3 solid months on the archer and only getting to level 23, I decided to make a fighter. They are the archers best friend, and fight much the same way. After completly obliderating my progress as an archer, I decided the fighter was the way to go. But as I approched level 20, I started missing a ton, and there is nothing that annoys me more than missing a mob that I can easily solo.

After a while as an archer and getting to level 38 and living through terrible clerics in kq's, the cleric was my choice to get me out of my slump. I decided the bad aim was forgiven with the heal spells, and played to 27 straight.

The mage was jut out of boredom, and I had a large ammount of scrolls to take up. my Dead was getting nowhere, Elo was getting boring, and Holy was just boring now. I got Pie-shadows to 20, then returned to Dead. Thats Knivy's story.

Hai guise. :3 Imma not spam this thread, kay? I like eet. :3

*moves on to story*

Alright then. I started of as a, yup, Cleric. :3 I picked it because I had never been a healing class before, and I had always been the barbarian or fighter in all the other games I had played. So anyway, I started up and named him my nickname. Goofed around for a while and then got to work leveling. Made it to twenty in two days, which amazed and astounded all of my friends at that level. (Come on, I was twenty! I thought it was awesome!) At twenty, I grew to hate Cleric armor, since I had been wearing a purple shirt for the past twenty levels. And blue chainmail pants? Really, come on, what's up with that? Still, better than wearing a skirt like a fighter. Anyway, I made it to thirty, soloing my entire way through, save for KQs and the occasional boss party. After that, I met one of my best fighter friends, well, at least until that one thing happened in the guild. She was awesome, and she was a leveling machine. I met her at level 35, after two weeks of no internet, when she was at 30. Two days later, I was 39 and she was 39. And it was she that persuaded me to join my first guild, Bloody_Demons. (Oh yeah, we can all see our little angel Saint join a guild with such a vulgar name. :3) Anyway, I stayed in that guild until level forty or so. It was an awesome guild, and I was one of the three clerics in it so I got a lot of parties and help. Soloed Robo at 42 while in that guild. Made some, no all of my best friends in that guild. After a while, me and the other members of the guild left and created our own guild, Isya_Crusaders. It was still great till an incident with the leader, my awesome leveling fighter friend, forced me and many other core members to leave. I won't tell what the incident was, it's much to heartbreaking. However, I will say that it left my fighter friend heart-broken and depressed beyond belief. Sometimes I feel bad about it, but then at the same time, her blindness and unwillingness to listen to reason forced it upon her. So I won't say anymore. After that, I started hopping from guild to guild and with the help from some of the people in Grimiore (I think I spelled that right.) made it to 58-ish. Returned the +9 hammer I had borrowed, made friends with Riko cause I was an awesome healer while she worked on an orc hunter license. I remember how she first reacted. She shouted in eldy if someone would be a healbot for her while she worked on a lic. I said I'd do it and she was sorta disconcerted. "It's just that most clerics now want to be damage dealers. I didn't think anybody would say yeah." So she helped me get to 60 and gave *un-needed* advice for my job change. *I know I'm supposed to spam rejuv riko! X3* After that I had a leveling boom, and hit 67 in just a few days. (Praise the Lord for quests.) During that leveling boom, I join Innocence, Doc's guild, and met up with two of the coolest people in Fiesta. Vecuu and RenzoG23. *You guys rock so hard it's not even funny. *O* * Vecuu is the undisputed (King? Queen? which should I pick? You're a guy and a girl!) of archers. And I'm the king of Spam and heal-chains. :3 Anyway, after a while, I left Innocence as well, mainly because I just felt like it was time to leave. Went on, made it to 67, rejoined Innocence, then quit again before the day was out. >.> It annoys me when I meet a guy who is more of a smart-*insert other word for male donkey here* than I am. Anyway, after that, worked my behind off to make 70, then said to myself "To heck with it!" and retired, cause I was tired of leveling.

:3 And that's the story of Saint_Attila. Summarized, of course, cause the real version of it would cause Neo to become emo, Lenore to become a spam-bot, Crystal to get a gender change and become a man in real life and it would force Nam to stop making such delectable sammiches and give me an unstoppable army of toasters that fling frozen waffles at 700 miles per hour directly at people's *mumbles*.

(Not changing it from a wall of text to actual paragraphs. This is to be read without stopping, else you'll be shot in the kneecap.)

So, an elaboration.

My story begins on Teva actually. In previous RPG's, I had been a sorceress, massive DD, raining hail, hell-fire, fireballs, ice storms, conjuring level 9 spirits, you name it. But for some reason, I had decided on a fighter in Teva. Her name, undoubtedly, was Takimi. No surprise there.

After several server hops because I couldn't quite figure out where my characters were, I settled on Apoline. I don't remember exactly why, but I have no idea why I didn't pick mage this time. I sat a long time really, trying to decide between a fighter, archer, mage and cleric. See, I was quite used to picking between like 20 different classes. Drawing upon my previous experience of usually being a mage with a bow, I picked Archer. Thus, Takimi was born.

I am a great fan and ardent follower of the Middle Age Stories: elves, mystics, whispering footsteps of quick-footed tree-people, so on so forth. I admire the grace of elves and the elegance of a bow.

Now, many of you probably know by now that I take my time in leveling. I've spent 17 months now on Fiesta, going into my 18th, and it's been quite blatantly pointed out that I should have at least one capped character by now. My highest level is a 68. xD

So, for the longest time, I played my Archer. When I got stuck at level 31, couldn't get any parties or anything, I started playing my Cleric, Sonyanna. Some of you may remember those days though, December '07 and January '08, very early in the days of Fiesta, quests didn't give nearly as much as they do now, AOE parties weren't well organized, we were all new. Not to mention I was rather anti-social.

I started playing my Cleric around when the Cash Shop first came out. Yes, I am one of the earliest CS users. My cleric had a Santa Dress (Black) at the level of 11-13 (we're not sure of the exact level). I experienced, I suppose, what I can call a revelation. It was amazing to play a Cleric. I could heal, take care of people. I could hold parties together, and be by myself and not die instantly, like I so often did on my Archer.

Again, I took my time leveling and spent months in the lower levels. I pretty much attribute my success at being a damn good cleric even as a lower level because I learned to compensate and not waste SP, time and judge how quickly people took damage. Which is why I may seem a little hard on other clerics my level sometimes- If I can handle this, why can't you? Then I had a friend point out that not everyone is as good as multitasking as I am. *shrug*

So, here I am today, still a devout cleric, even though I take my time. I'm never in a hurry to get much of anywhere. Unless I'm racing someone. Then I pull out all the stops.

Small shout-out to the people that were my best friends before I joined Dor and LeftHandofGod and came out of my antisocial shell...

This is for you, Vecta(Asclepian), lightsuto and Dango1992. R.I.P Vecta, my twin.

PS: Kannon, spell Confucious correctly.

Every MMO I've played I've either used a Rogue/Archer due to range/speed (if they have it working right in the game) or some type of battle defense healing char (Cleric/Billposter(extra points if you know what game :D)Paladin).
That and with my lazy ways, being a cleric is ideal and I have to say I don't think I'm bad a tall.
I can survive hits, heal people and keep them alive while not dying and since my friend is such a taskmaster and crazy player, learning who to heal first and knowing who needs only recover or a invincible or a normal heal is something I've picked up on.
I have a fighter/mage and archer..but too low of a level so I'm too lazy to level them :p
Being able to heal and have all my stones is another good one :D

I chose to be an archer to be different. I heard that mages outdamaged us and were always partied more than us, but I didn't care. I even made an unconvential build off of rumors that it's damage could possibly be comparable, just to be different.

I've come a long way, and learned a lot about the mathematical mechanics of Fiesta. I know I'll probably never be any good in PVP with my archer, but I guarantee that I am the best DD for an AOE party. I get chosen over mages, and, when I go afk or have to restone, the party usually just takes a break and waits for me to come back, because: "It's not worth the effort without you, V". <3

Another thought came to mind after Vecuu's comment:

I soon found out no one would party me becuase of those damn mages. =P

One time, going after ZK, I was level... 36? Quite capable as an archer to handle the main brunt of ZK's attacks. The level 32 something fighter commented that "Oh no, the highest level here is an ARCHER..." Yeah, way to boost my confidence.

To which I attribute a long-lasting enimity towards mages, which has slowly dissapated over time. =3

After all, my hubby/boyfriend is a mage xD

Well I never really played an mmorpg. The first couple were ones that weren't memorable because not many people were helpful. My first character is my main. I chose a cleric because the healing portion really drew me in. Later on I found out that many parties are so dependent on your healing. I started to get turned off by clerics just because of a lot of the negativity while being in parties. This is when I tried the other classes. I even made a few characters on other servers T.T when I could have just made an alt account to leave all of my characters in Apoline u.u

I digress. Anyway when I joined the PVP KQ, I loved the thrill of being almost invincible even if it were for a few seconds. Right now I'm just going between archer and fighter builds, and I also made an alt account. My newest archer is currently on Apoline. So yeah, I guess I don't really know which class is for me. Being a cleric is great and convenient, but it takes so long just to kill monsters. It doesn't help that I don't have much money either ><

Wall of text coming...
And yes, this is all necessary. If I hadn't met Turan, I would have never made my cleric, would have stayed an archer, and probably would have quit Fiesta a year ago >.o It all leads up to how I became Eiluth... the Level 23 nub fighter that I am too lazy to level right now, so I give you this~

I started on Teva, as an Archer. Simply because on all other MMO's I've played I was the healer and got tired of it. Got that archer to 21, and then tried out all the other classes. Got bored of them. In my opinion, I got bored so fast because of the server.
So, one day Teva crashed, like it always did way back in the day, and I decided to visit Apoline and it's GM Steam. I suicided in SoG and warped into Eldy, and walk up to the epic AFK stairs and who do I see? Steam. I made some comment about Apoline being crazy. (Pfft. Who ever put that thought in my head. -points at Artist-) And Steam decided to spawn Centaurs on us. >.o That's when I knew I wanted to stay on Apoline. I stayed and chatted and ended up meeting quite a few people. (Artist, Eirlyn, Elifina, Copycat, Zolo, and Seras.) I went back to Teva for a little while, sold all my stuff, deleted all my chars and put everything on my first archer and left Teva.

Soon I was back on Apoline, leveling my archer I named Mjrn after the FF12 character. Got her to 21 and joined the epic guild, Overlords. I made tons of great friends there, and met my (now fiance) Turuk, the cleric. We chatted for a bit while I helped him with a quest and we logged out in Roumen. Now, some of you may remember the day when we all had to make nubs because every map besides Roumen and the surrounding areas were offline. Turuk and I logged in and didn't know what to do. I AoE'd slimes for a bit and came up with the idea to make new characters. That is how I became Tylia, the cleric. He helped me make up my name and I with his and we started leveling, and made a nub parade to BH. We leveled together to 50 and I got bored of cleric, and decided to level my archer again. I hated her DEX build so I deleted her and remade her, and got her to 35. I then decided to replay my cleric and got her to 60. Again, I got bored of her. I then decided to level a nub fighter named January to 20, deleted her and that was the end of that. I didn't know what to do next, so I made a mage. Turuk (his then fighter Turan) decided to make Tarul, his mage, and we duo'd to 40. I then took up on my Cleric and leveled him to 60. I got bored ONCE AGAIN and got my archer 51. Then...
Because of a ton of relationship drama from guildies (One was cheating here, flirting there), Turan and I had had enough. We quit. We played other MMO's and Came back for a week to then quit again, after making a Level 20 cleric. We continued on with an MMO which I will call AO, which we still play now.

Now... 2 weeks ago I was bored, Turan was playing XBox 360 and I had nothing to do. (I don't like leveling in AO without him. The game is quest based so doing quests would make me out level him.) So, I decided to redownload Fiesta and make that Fighter I kept deleting. I deleted my second Cleric and made Eiluth. I've always loved Tanking and the way axe's looked, so why not? With this char I am taking my time. Getting to experience everything that is a fighter, and so far I am loving it. It took me awhile, but I think I finally found my calling.

Hai Tylia! :3

Ganno has been a good boy since you left. I think the number of times Vanguard killed him in those wars finally taught him some sense. He's also managed to get to 60!

We only did it for his own good, really. Imagine if he made someone else mad... I was NICE. D:

/Back on topic.
A lot of these stories are interesting, and it seems everyone at one point went server hoping. I've personally played on all of them to at least level 10. :x

"Squishy" in the game means that she dies easily

I am..
EVERYTHING
I can never focus on one type of character, they all have they're perks and I use them all on and off. Although my fighter is my best.
