FREE Outspark Cash Cards

Well that got your attention lol

I'm planning on hosting events where I'll be giving away free cash cards to the Outspark Store. These cards will range from the $10 to the $25 cards. Now why am I doing this? For recognition? Nope... To flaunt my riches? Yeah right~ I'm poor lol... the why?... well, truthfully, I'm tired of losing friends to their boredom on a repetitious faulty game. I was gone for 3 months and I came back to a lot of missing friends I had from back in March '08 (when I started playing). Besides, interacting with a lot of players, old and new, I listen to lots of talks of them wanting to move to better games. So I'm doing this for them... why not give to the community something that's useful to them? not buffs or items that expire after a week. With this the SOS community will be happy and looking forward to something on a weekly basis. I know what you're all saying... won't this put money into the GM's pockets so they can pay for their sport cars? meh, it's about the players, lets not worry about minor details lol.

Any feedback will be appreciated, whether good or bad. Also event ideas will be awesome. IF this is a good idea voted by the community, then I plan on holding this on the weekends... every weekend if possible.

EVENT IDEAS

3 Party PVP - a party of three left standing will win $10 SC cards for all players in that party. as long as one survives, the party wins
Royal Rumble - any class... any level... last one standing wins a $25 card
*divided event based on classes (i.e. all 1st, 2nd and third classes will have their own Rumble, and each last player standing will win a $25 card)
Hide and Seek - Whoever finds me will win a $10 card
Race to the Finish - One player will race to a certain map and win a $10 card

This is what I have so far. Any other suggestions for events are welcomed. IF this is a hit and players want it to happen, then I'll set up a schedule of events with times and dates, and the event to take place. I want to be fair to everyone and give you all a chance to win some free cash here, so lets get to thinking folks :D

I must say, a VERY nice idea if ya can afford it. I know for some people this would be a GREAT opportunity to be able to get SC if you are able to follow through with this idea. Kudos to you for trying to make life more interesting on SotS. I always try to be helpful to others. At times I give away free pet quest stuff, yes, even leathers, wood, FP, an occassional Xen Stone. Nothing major, but just trying to help out some people who may not be able to get them very well.

On a side note, again, thanks for trying to make this game a better place. I have been around since early on in it's inception back in Oct/Nov 2007. Now, those were the days. LOL. Take care and I hope to see ya around in game sometime.

Great idea. I will support this. And I have an event idea:

Follow The Clues
A yellow egg shouts a clue to a map or location. When the player gets there, and finds the person, they will give another clue, each time the clues getting harder. And when they find the last person (you), they win.

This I think is better than the just Hide and Seek thing because there are some ppl that are REALLY good at guessing, so they can pwn everyone easily. So with multiple riddles it will give others a chance to gain the lead while the ones in the lead might fall behind.

Again, great idea.

I've thought about it and if this idea is a hit on the Adeline server, I have no issues hosting it on the Marian server as well. But I'll see how it goes in one server before carrying it to the next one :D

My only other suggestion is to do events for certain level ranges.... because lets face it... higher lvls are faster than lower lvls. And some maps you just cant get to at low lvls. Same goes for PVP... the higher lvls are gonna win. I'm okay on CS... so just trying to help those who don't have it have a fair chance.

Absolutely right, dividing the events into certain lvl ranges and classes will have a better outcome. I don't want people in the community to call it unfair by doing an event where a 45 lvl player wants the SC card really bad, but he/she has to go though a 80 lvl player. Thank you for the idea :)

Once I get feedback from the community on ideas and concerns I'll post an event calendar. This will also help just in case one of my events is on the date the GMs are having their event. I'll be able to re-schedule if needed. Actually, I'll be having a try out event to make sure this will work, with enough time to work out any bugs :cool:

On the other hand, it's kinda sad that players have gotten to the limit that they have to put decent events on themselves, as compared to...jeez I don't know... a GM? How embarrassing for them...

No. I don't think it is against the ToS. I mean why should it be? Outspark is making their money, so does it matter who is getting the SC?

It is kind of sad, but what can you do huh? lol I'm personally tired of the 'buffs' or xens or whatever else GMs give to the winners of events. If they were really listening to the community then they would know that we want more.
You know what would be cool? If they gave the winner of an event a special item that boosted stats... like a permanent cape and such... something from the SC store. Oh wait, that would unbalance an already unbalanced game even more :p nvm

I don't believe the TOS says anything about this, or that it should for that matter. The way I see it, all I'm doing is giving the winner or winners the code to the card. It's like if I was buying i for a friend :)

i think its only ban able if u give away sc for ingame kron or gear or something,
anyways, if my parents made an account on here and then gave me sc card for my b-day or something, will my parents get banned o.O?

What I believe is against the TOS is the act of sharing account information for SC. For example:

One day Jill was broke, and noticed that her friend, Jack, was online. She asked him if he would buy her some SC (because that little minx found out he had a Visa somehow!). Jack was hesitant, but Jill sweetened the deal by offering him ten xens and some kron. Low and behold Jack agreed, and Jill gave him her account user name and password, rubbing her hands in eager anticipation as Jack signed on her account and used charged SC to Jills account with his billing information.

Anyways...I'm pretty darn sure its ok to give someone SC gift card, because how on earth would anyone know any different anyways that it wasn't theirs to begin with? What the TOS does in relation to this matter is it protects user identity, and money fraud, and prevents scheming and other mischief. In other words - trust nobody, and you wont have a potential mess to deal with.

Exactly i read over and over and i did not see anything about SPARKCASH CARDS so i don't know maybe i didnt look hard enough or maybe i read something wrong or maybe !!! i dont know but i think its alright for Sparkcash cards there is nothing really wrong with it...its like the new gifting system we have NOW
