sry to bother such a quite section of the forums, but i need to ask...

is men useful to the templar class?, i looked at some threads from way back and i mean waaayyyy back and i found this thread about el2 or sum1 experimenting with men...

from what i infered its not worth it but i need advice since my friend told me that he asked several templars in adeline if they added men, turns out that they do :(

so is it useful for the temp class? shud i add men or go full pow like that one guide says?
how about agi? i looked at that one thread that talks about agi but only 2 posted there :(

thnx for the help guys... ^_^

ill make a poll about builds here :D

Why add AGI at all? I don't see the benefit of AGI for templars. POW/MEN is a common build, since MEN speeds up skill cast. You end up casting Force Blast faster in PVP, and, from what I've read in the forum, Chain Block as well? An alternative to POW/MEN and full POW build (because I think a pure build in any stat is boring...) is POW/STA. Adding points in STA gives you higher hp, which comes in handy if you aoe in a map where you taking more than miss/1/2 in damage. It's the build I use now, in part because I think having high hp takes advantage of the several self-heal skills that templars have.

Anyway, I hope someone else will post here. I've experimented much less on my templar build than on my archer build, so not sure if this is much help.

Well, I don't have enough experience to really offer advice, but I have been adding some to stamina based on the guide. I think the suggestion in the guide was to get hp to 450. Not sure of the benefit of men, but once my hp is where I want it I might consider adding 8. Can chainblock be sped up, it has a cooldown? What I saw in the old posts some people thought adding men might help with mob lock. I have only locked up once, and that was when I tried to pull an entire map.

i am a lvl 7x dis,i am going with pow/men and some sta. i pick this build because i go afk a lot (mom think i can pause an mmorpg lol) k back on topic.

i per fur u add as much sta as u want if u want to have high hp. it come in handy when u get mob lock and when u r out of pots, but the most useful build is pow/men, because u can cast faster and it helps with pvp. but if u want to have fast casting u should do pow/men. most temp/dis add like 8-10 men and rest all pow.

i per fur to add some sta to make sure i have a lot of health, and it also depends on how u play.

Do per fur fast kill?
Do u per fur a lot of health when u aoe a high lvl map?
How do u play your dis/temp?

think about how u play when u figure this out u will find your own and personal build :D :D
ill be happy to ask anymore question u may have :D

I am a level 57 Disciple and I was wondering how much MEN I have to add before I start noticing some results. Is it wise to have 1/3 of your str in MEN? So, if I have 66 POW I should have 22 MEN and so on. I like to cast fast, but I am also worried if I stray away from POW then will my damage become significantly reduced. Thanks!

Mob lock is a huge problem for me, and it seems to get progressively worse in higher maps. However, it's entirely possible to avoid mob lock if you move every 3 deadlocks when killing, so that mobs hit you in intervals instead of continuously. Moreover, I am not convinced that adding points in MEN actually reduces mob lock.

Templars aren't like archers, who add 30+ points in MEN. Since 66, I have always gotten my exp through mobbing, so casting a skill faster doesn't really increase how much exp I get per time. If I were to reset my stats to add MEN, it would solely be for PVP.

If you want to experiment with men, it works in 4's. Adding 1 isn't going to have a noticable effect. Most of the templars I know who use men do it for pvp, so they can spam evil dead/force blast faster. They recommend using 8 men. So don't expect to see a difference when adding men until you get a total of 4, then again at 8. I tried it mayself, and it is kind of nice to have for killing agros, but as far as mob lock goes I couldn't tell a difference so I reset my stats back to pow/sta. I really like having the extra hp.

if your still low level stick with pow as been mention before from other leveling guides. once u turn temp or close to it maybe 70+ then u can start messing with a secondary stats since u have more stats to play with. and once u get close to HA or 106+ then u can choose ur 3rd stat. I currently have 12 men on mine and i like it, cast pretty decent speed. Also weave in ur regular attacks so that u dont have lag on ur cast. it will look like ur constantly casting but in reality in between ur doin regular att in between. Its really up to u how u want to build ur char and if u mainly grind(solo kill) aoe or pvp mostly.
If ur in aoe partys alot n ur the main tank or aoe assist then u would need sta specially if u dnt have a warrior to blaze or dnt have hp buffs. Solo kill u dont really need sta but men would be more useful so u can kill it faster, 12 men n rest full pow with be sufficient imo. i had in the past 20-30 which was awesome casting but my pow kinda suffered. Also if ur goin to solo kill, go on a map ur doin at least 500 dmg so u can kill faster. just cuz u can go to hard maps doesnt mean its a good idea exp wise unless ur in a party o have help duo killing.
If u att is still low for u get a healer with u so u can have buffs but if u dnt like sharing loots n exp either get the red cowbell( if u can afford SC) o over-enhance ur club to+5 o +6 if u can, get some pow/att pearls, pow/att wings and att pet buff.
My HA will be mostly gear dependent so i can mess around my stats more without losing much attack power. The stats that u can mess with is POW,STA/MEN n AGI, its up to u to decide on how u play n level ur char.

The power pearl is one of the new accessories from the new quests along with epic wings and enhanced pet. There is no guarentee what you will get when you make the accessory, whether it will be power, agi, int, wis, ect. You can enhance the item a second time and receive a second stat. You can then level up the accessory to +5 I believe. They go in the slot areas so it would depend on the pearls stats as to whether it would benefit you to replace a current assessory with a new one.

Im currently experimenting with pow/agi/men build and Ive just started adding men but the 13 dodge i have atm seems to help with the moblock i can take whole maps w/o locking now and when i get my dodge pet i should have around 22 dodge, i think agi is a good stat b/c if u take more of the map then u get more exp per kill and faster kills cuz no moblock. Itll be awhile b4 i can see if the men helps maybe at lvl 106 ill know more...BTW AUTO GENESIS FTW

i agree with deadly about agi, it helps from mob lock and u get to mob more. FYI my HA is pow/agi/men n i love it.

all i can say is POW/STA FTW!, will come in handy when I obtain auto-gen. I used an accuracy soul that add +20 in hit rate (the main stat when adding in MEN) and I did not notice a huge speed improvement in deadlock. just a little.

lol, this is irrelevant, an accurancy soul boosts hit rate, it doenst boosts skill speed >_>

Adios!

Try getting skill speed reduce using prophecy frag. You'll notice how fast you can cast ^^

Just keep it mind it take ALOT of agi for us to get an ok dodge since we are not Sins. Right now my dodge is ok only in aoeing but not PVP. Maybe at 130lvl ill have a more decent dodge XDD. i'll update on that since i think im the only one goin sin build wahaha.
