View Full Version : St. Patty's Hat: +18 POW! Great! OR IS IT?!

I do not understand why the in-game free St. Patty's hat does not give +18 INT as well. There is absolutely no reason for this total bias towards physical classes.

I understand why 99% of items in the Cash Shop are physical based--most people who buy SparkCash are melee characters. However, there is no need to carry this thinking into the game! Dx

Making the hat have both +18 POW and INT will not do any harm!
INT is worthless to a non Cleric/Mage, and POW is worthless to Cleric/Mages!
There would be no "unbalence" that I can see.

Can there at least be an explination given as to why this item does not swing both ways so ALL players can enjoy this wonderfully fashionable set of pixels?

Is there going to be an in-game 'sparkcash' item that only gives INT? Hmm...doubtful.

I love this hat for my scout, it makes leveling up so much easier; I just wish my Aco could enjoy the same benefits! What did she ever do to you? :<

yeh true!! and where is my masquerade int mask that was promised to us last year!!! Such biasness towards physical classes.. Magic classes need more support in attacking and healing skill!!

Mmm, agreed!
Just want to point out, though, that the Patty hat is +18 attack, not POW. Small distinction, I know, but at least +18 POW would increase weight capacity for acos and apps. As it is, +18 attack is totally useless... >:(

Yeah I was quite disappointed as well. I overslept the next morning the update was out, so I rushed home from school to see it. I didn't know how easy it was to gather the charms, so I bought them all for 800k. Sadly, that 800k went down the drain to some worthless hat.

Well think on the bright side. I can now hit a Poyo for 44 damage with my staff at lvl 71. XD

The hat - in fact, the entire St. Patty's day quest - is recycled from last year. The only difference this time is that there's 2 NPCs instead of 1. Wouldn't surprise me if DnC just got lazy with this, since it's technically only temporary content and creating an INT hat would involve...actually creating an INT hat item. xD

i know! actually, there has only been ONE think in the cash store that helps us out, that fugly presidents hat (+4 int, i think) but even that is gone now. I reallyreallyreally wish they'd give us quests for int stuff or SC int stuff. Anyway, really. >.> I just want may int! Higher heal ftw! D;

Okay, I know *technically* it isn't POW/INT...but I thought it would simplify things, cuz maybe someone might have thought attack/magic was confusing... >______>'
You all know what I meant anyways. xD

& Foger...I don't see why they haven't made the Masquerade Mask either! I mean, think of how much MORE MONEY (<- read this, outspark! ;)) outspark would be making if that was in the Cash Shop! D:

+4 INT in the cashshop is utterly WORTHLESS.
What can scouts get?
They can get a bow that adds +50 attack
A hat that adds +18 Attack
A mask/bell that adds +15 attack
And I'm sure there has been/is some sort of back item that adds attack or something. >_<
That's a total of almost +30 extra attack points, (depending on the in-game bow's AP at 45) and Magic classes get +4?!
Whisky Tango Foxtrot! This is an outrage, and my main isn't even a magic class! D<

I never even noticed a Int item in the CS. However for the melee person, this saves them from using SC. Now they don't have to buy an cowbell or mask and it they do, leveling just got that much easier for a bit.

Its recycled like catry said. I much rather they skimp on this st patty's quest and keep their focus on some of the more important things that need to be done.

Not to mention that it's been proven that INT gives less damage than POW... so even if the hat gave +18 INT and +18 POW, it would still be unequal.

i think u guys expect too much.

Knowing Outspark/DNC, I myself already knew it was gonna be the same as last year for the St Patricks day events (if u were even here long enough to complain about it last year)

I think I had joined a couple days before the st. patricks day stuff...I was a total nub, so I doubt I even understood what the hat did. LOL.

Outspark can PROFIT from adding +INT (magic, for you people who like the technical terms xD ) items in the cashstore so I guess I just don't see why they haven't implemented any yet. And a lucky ball that contained a permanent 'masquerade' mask? I know lots of people who'd buy that. I just don't see any negative sides! Outspark would make money, magic class would get more magic attack! Win-win! D:

Personally...I feel this issue expands so much father then just int.based SC items. Which is also important, and needed to bring balance to the game!!

The app/mage/wiz class is seriously the most neglected, looked down upon, unwanted of any of the classes I encountered. The only time I felt appreciated, or wanted, as a mage was when I went to the library, because my AOE damage really sped up the AOE'ing. But other then the that nobody really wants a caster in their team. How often do you see shouts asking for wiz or mage? I see lots of tank, and healer shouts...but not once have a seen a specific shout asking for a spell caster. I know so many fellow mages who can only look in despair at the newmaps, watching as some warlords scurry along with their healers. I guess they know better then to ask to join the pt.

What I'm trying to say is the app class is slated for an extremely difficult, unrewarding, and arduous journey to archmage. Why? Because their skills need desperate tweaking (mana shield is garbage as it is now), they're undesired for high lvl AOE parties, lack SC items to be competitive, and their stats amount to nothing once other classes reach higher lvls.

So can I blame other AOE'ers for not really needing casters? Not not really- because they can kill fast enough without one.

The app class is more for show then anything. Solution? Make monsters a lot harder to kill, fix the apps stats (like making int a lot more worth it), and tweak their skills so they can really bring it. Or even increase party experience bonus when app class joins. SOMETHING!!!

Yah this is like shouting to a wall.

heehee...I can't come close to aoeing Templar at lvl 101 solo....

honestly, I really like to have a wizard with me and a healer....I can feel more secure about suiciding(suicideing?) with a wizard holding the mobs still.....and to be COMPLETELY honest....EXEDOOR2(a wizard guildmate) does more damage than I do with his Volcano as opposed to my Circle Trap(wth?^^).

I personally will always look forward to partying with spellcasters just for the fact that when they attack, the enemy is drawn to them, and I can wail on it longer as it tries(feebly) to attack the mage who keeps backing away while bombarding them with fire^^. Lol, I love it...it's so funny to see the enemy get totally destroyed while it's deciding who to attack^^.

We love ya, Casters....keep the faith^^
