View Full Version : Priest Advanced Class Skill Clarification?

I've been looking at the bishop and dark priest skills and there's a lot of ambiguities as to what they do. So I'd like to ask for some clarification from people who've played bishops or dark priests.

Bishop:
* Group Heal
** I understand it heals your party, but does it heal your team in a pvp match?
** Does it heal everyone on the screen or everyone on the map? Or does it have some other kind of maximum range?

* Holy Lightning
** Is the windup time different from that of Holy Strike?
** Is it an AoE?
** What shape is its hitbox?
** How long does its hitbox last?
** What's its cooldown?

Dark Priest:
*Strike of Darkness
** "Cast away inner darkness" is a pretty vague effect. What exactly does that mean?
** It appears to be a damage over time spell, but it only says it drains 11 hp per tick. If that 11 per tick is 11 damage per second, then that's only 88 damage for 30mp, which is really weak! Considering this,
*** Does it get a bonus from your int?
*** Does it have any other effects or debuffs?
*** Does it have an unusual hitbox?

*Wicked Protection
** How much damage does it reflect? (not an easy question. It'd probably take some empirical testing to find out.)
** Does it stun the person who hit you like any other attack?

*Vampiric Attack
** Based on the skill's tooltip, this skill looks REALLY REALLY weak!! 45 healing and 45 damage for 55 mp!? Why not just use self-heal and holy strike? Does this skill have something to make up for how terrible it looks?

*Frenzy (I've been hit by the monk version of this spell, so I'm not too excited. =/)
** Does it do damage?
** Does it have an unusual windup/hitbox/hitbox duration?

*Mutation
** How fast can someone move under the influence of this spell?
** Do they turn back to normal when they take damage? If so it sounds pretty useless unless it has something that allows it to hit easily.
** What's its cooldown?


imo most of the dark priest skills sound pretty cool, but they're really weak unless they have something else that's not listed on the tooltips.

I have absolutely no clue about the exact nature of things. However I'm hoping mutation works exactly as it says. Why? That is one hit kill in just about any arena.

I believe Wicked protection is 20% reflection. My question concerning it is: Does it reflect back xx% and only take the remainder? Or do you take all the damage and then reflect 20% of what you took. Either way it seems like a good skill to use while being ganked (Which happens to me all the time)

If our frenzy is like a monks that takes 2 seconds to figure out the first time you are hit with it i expect to be disappointed. I'm hoping it messes with their skill bar.

The others i have no guesses :|


i dont remmber all the skills But all i know That thers some skill that blinds the monster(Not recommended for PVe)
I just found this a little ways down the page. Perhaps this is strike of darkness. It would work wonders in PvP if it blacked out the targets screen. In fact that would be the sweetest debuff ever.

I got some more information from people who've played against dark priests. They say that the dark priest frenzy is different from the monk one, and that it messes with the mapping for your attack and jump buttons (instead of or in addition to?) messing with your movement controls.

No, that's an Assassin skill. I've been hit by it. All you see is your character and the debuff over your head. Everything else is black.
