Summoner?

I recently saw someone in their sig put that they were gonna be summoner, but that it was a "big mistake." Is there something bad about summoners? Cause I looked at the skills and it seemed pretty nice to me. Any help would be appreciated :)

if I'm right, summoner hit harder than elem but elem aoe. i find summoner useful in pvp >:) but elem pwn the maps of mobs.

You can say that an Elementalist has a bigger arsenal of skills to use over a summoner.

The only big difference between the two mage advancements is that a summoner's skills are practically worthless against bigger group (Monsters and PvP). But then again, the huge difference about summoners that they can choose to increase their elemental resistance and damage (you will notice the increased damage when you stack your fairies) or use it to attack (saves a lot of MP in PvP if used as an advantage for you).

No reason to see why summoners should be considered bad.

hmm yes but elem might die from getting mobbed (*-.-) is one of their weakness when they got aoe skills.

The patches seems to make mobs hit much harder on my mage so maybe like 7 hits I'm dead. Even with update armor.
