I think people don't give thornbrush enough credit. It doesn't cover much of an area, but if you get a hit off, you can get two more spells off before the debuff runs out. One of the main advantages of thornbrush is that its hitbox stays on screen for quite a while. This means that you can use it on someone who's flashing from a hit and have plenty of leeway for it to land so long as you're positioned at the right spot. So you could potentially have a 2 person combo with a mage where the mage uses ice then fire, then you use thornbrush and you or the mage use two other spells, and by that point the person is pretty much dead as they've taken:

ice: 200 damage
fire: 350 damage
thornbrush: 100 damage
holy strike: 200 damage
fire: 350 damage

For a total of 1200 damage, which is enough to kill even a warrior.

In gng the windslayer before outspark.... modified it, there was one person who was referred as the Thorn King. He got quite a few kills using thornbush and had exceptional skills with the timing and placement. I hear he might come back to trap you all in a prickly embrace 0_0

The archer's debuff and rouge's stuff work too.

It doesn't work on mage anyways.... Mage can teleport and move to another place safe.

I agree. I don't see many priests use thornbrush. It's great for extending combos. Use it after a rogue's stun or after a mage combo. I use it whenever I get a chance.

Ugh...after second classes came out, I found out the hard way that THornbush is way less useful...
Why? Well...some classes have abilities that let them move, disregarding whether they are immobilized or not.
Bezerkers : Sonic Slash
Shaolins : Triple kick and the similar
Counters : Dragon kick
Monks in general : They can move a little bit by strong attacking...
Archers in general : With the largest range in the game, Immobilizing is not all that useful...
Mages in general : They can teleport
Other Priests : We can heal off the damage, but we really can't do anything else...
Assassins: Blinding is the only skill they have that DOESN'T make them move
Trappers: They can also Immobilize but that's about it
Novices : Do not apply

As you can see...it is not as good anymore

I think that Mages should be the only ones that should be able to move from thornbush. It's our signature man! Rogues got their inviso. Warriors got their high HP. Priests got their healing. Archers got their uber long range. Monks got their on the dime turning. I mean come on, Mages have the teleport which is awesome! And don't say that mages have highest damage in the game. Because that's not true anymore. Priests' Holy does as much as Mage fire.
