I was playing fine all day until about an hour ago or so and got the error message below. I do not understand what this means at all, someone says it's my computer saying "uh uh no way" to something SoS is trying to access??? Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? I am going nuts over here, have had so many problems and once get it working good this happens.... I was on for hours today when this started out of the blue. ANY ideas will be great.

lol no, I said it's an Access Violation. Which means SoS is trying to access something your computer doesn't think it should be. So when it does, your computer think's it's doing something else and stops it right there. Then throws up that message. I just have no idea how to get around it.

firewall mayb?

no, I don't think it's a firewall issue. If it was, it wouldn't let her be able to do much at all on SoS. Possibly not even let her load the game up. But she told me she could for a few minutes now.
And as she said earlier this is a sudden thing. Firewalls don't just suddenly 'kick in' at random intervals. They are always on when the computer is on.
This is something different.

that incident won't happen everything do they? i only receive an error of that kind like once every 4-5months.

lol you may have to say that differently, I think I know what you're asking.

Errors like these are not good ones. It might be easy to fix, it might not. I have no idea how one would go about doing it. But it's not an error message that just pops up every couple months.
It's like when you load a game and it throws up an error message that says the disc isn't in the drive. It will only work if the disc is there. This isn't something that just happens over time. Something is wrong and needs to be changed/overwritten. I just don't know what.
Now, granted, she has an older operating system. (Windows 95) That could possibly be the problem. I'm just not sure. Older operating systems are made to handle programs from around that time. Currently Windows XP or Windows Vista should do better. I just don't suggest Vista. Way too many problems with it. It's alright for the average user. But for people who do a lot of gaming and photo editing and graphic alterations, and things like that, will have a hard time. This is because Vista has a totally different coding. It only reads what it can and most of the coding that older programs have that came before Vista are different. That's why I'm sticking with XP for now.

Those errors are usually memory or conflict with hardware and software. Did you try restarting your computer ;) Also is this the first time that you got that error? (Could it be you are using Win95? 0.o

Ok I couldnt get back online last night because we also had storms that made my internet go nuts.
1) yes I have windows 95
2) I played the game for 2 days with no issues (at first it was a end process issues, see other threads)
3) fiewall is not an issue because it did it withthe firewall off as well

I dont see why it would be windows 85 if it let me play all this time and JUST started that error yesterday after aviing been on the game for hours. Getting ready to log in again and see what hapens I guess.

Well so far no error this morning (if I cursed myself I will not be happy lol). Dont get how the storm would have caused it, but maybe, and if so that could be a good thing.... Now if I can stop gettin myself killed hehe ^^

Sometimes older Operating Systems don't realize an issue until later. Then it suddenly kicks in and does something.
