I personally do not have a problem with it as long as they do in town when the gold spammers are about. If they do it when they aren't there, then yeah, it is annoying and something needs to be done. I think people put way too much stock in titles anyway. Some of the ones that need you do no more then spam shout are dumb in my opinion anyway *shrug*, but whatever....
