How do you do things like make potions and scrolls? And what do items like herbs, apples, and flower petals do if they don't tell you what they're for?

to learn production skills you press "K" to bring up your skill menu, click "production skills" and select 2. then you need to buy the recipes from skill master ruby. once you have the skill and the recipe, you'll know what items are for what scroll. to my knowledge apples, herbs, and petals are only quest items. except geranium thats a potion tier 2 item. i could be wrong though not all my skills are upgraded so petals and apples may be used in higher level recipes

Which skills are the best to have?

i have yet to see the use for item composition and decomposition. but my highest level character is 31. i use scroll potion and stone. ive given up on refining my gear so stone is only for money now. but i never train without scrolls and i never pay for potions so those are great to have
