I was just surfing around the internet, and something just like this caught my eye. It looked like a cute game, and I was right. It was a cute game. I then started noticing that most of the effects, pixels, stances, position, looked a bit way too familiar.
Is it me, or is this another type of Ragnarok Online, but way below the graphics RO has. I really would like to know, seeing almost everything about this game is RAGNAROK ONLINE. -_________________-;

Call me a n00b if you must, but its hard to think that ragnarok online would lend their graphics to another game. Seeing, if they had done so, people would be leaving that for this. I don't play ragnarok online anymore, but the effects of level up, the elemental effects, pixels, and almost all that other crap looks exactly the same.
Soo, W.T.H?

In my opinion, i say all games are based on one another, if u look at it closely, so this isnt the first one.

This is already obvious. Anyways it doesn't matter much since they are working on ragnarok online 2 anyways.

Although I do find the graphics from Secret of Solstice and Ragnarok Online to be quite similar, I'm still able to tell the two games apart. I find that the sprites from Secret of Solstice are a bit sharper than in Ragnarok.
I think the reason this game is so similar to Ragnarok is because it was probably inspired by it during the time SoS was created. After all, Ragnarok Online was extremely popular during the time it reigned as the top game in countries such as Korea and Japan. Other companies may have saw this opportunity as a chance to build upon the success of Ragnarok by using a similar graphic style as a hook for players to initially build their player database. There are a many other games that have been created with this aspect in mind. (Games resembling: Diablo II, Lineage II, World of Warcraft. Even these games have an origin of similarity to other games.)
On top of this, Secret of Solstice, also known as Xenepic has been out for quite awhile now... and I'm sure if the creators of Ragnarok Online felt that this game was breeching copyright infringement issues, they would've already taken this case to court. I don't think such a prestigious company such as the one that made Ragnarok Online would let such an ample opportunity to milk money from this type of situation pass.
Outspark is only hosting the game for global players and if this topic really bothers you, I would suggest trying to discuss this with the company that actually created this game. If you could manage to find a translator to translate your opinions, you could send them an inquiry about your concerns.
I think that as long as the game-play differs in various aspects then it shouldn't be condemned as neglecting copyright laws. This is just my opinion, I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. I hope you find an appropriate answer to your inquiry. :o
