I honestly dislike the concept that at any given time, any monster can be aggro. I understand that it is an interesting twist, but I also like knowing which monsters are aggro and which are not. It becomes quite tedious when you are in the middle of a battle and a snake, for example, will come up to you while fighting and just sit there or attack you, and you never know which it will be. What do others think of the aggro/non-aggro situation?

I also dislike the fact that you can lose a level if you die early when you reach your new level. I agree that a penalty should be applied, but one should not dip below a level to which you attained. If anything, drop it to 0.00, but do not allow for players to lose a level and then have to work that back up.

something im wondering about the losing lvl thing, is that some one will definitly find a way to keep adding stat points.

I.E. I turn lvl 2, i spend stat points, lose a lvl, relvl spend stat points again, repeat over and over and at lvl 2 u will have max stat points.

Some games have that glitch , not sure if it would happen in this one or they blocked it, i ono, havent played yet.

They blocked the stat thing. When you drop in lvl that's all that happens. You odn't lose any stats. Just think of it as - exp on yoru current lvl.

I really hate the random aggro thing. I mean. REALLY hate it.

Mainly because everything LOVES to aggro on me. >___> I can be fighting for an hour and everything will just be calm and quiet and nothing will aggro until I beat it up and it's all fine and good. Then I start to run out of pots and start to head back to town...and so then of course, everything starts to aggro CONSTANTLY.

xD;; It's EVIL. So I usually die and warp back to town speedily at the cost of 7% EXP. Which is also horrible.

I've also had the experience when me and an entire party were sitting resting and stuff like that to recover from a long wind of battles. Everyone was fine. Then all of a sudden a Huge PoyuPoyu runs out. Summons a bunch of little poyopoyos and beats the crap out of me. I had looked away from the computer for one second, and was dead before I could scramble for my potion hot key. xD

And then....all the monsters run off without touching ANY of my other party members. I mean ***. I didn't kill its first born child or ANYTHING. D<

I think it should be a constant either arrgo or not. So you're not constantly keeping your eye on everything around you to see if it will beat the crap out of you when your back is turned or not. >__>

Also on the whole deleveling thing..That would really get rid of some stress when you're grinding in harder areas. xD All you need is one status ailment or swarm of mobs arrgoing all at the same time to kill you. And that's a real pain after you've just celebrated the gain of a shiny new level. x_x

What the hell is an aggro?

Aggressive monsters - they attack you while you're just wandering through or attack while you're attacking something else.

This happens to me all the time,
and yeah it really does suck,
especially when you're attacking something else.
Those damn snakes always do it to me.
And those fireball things.

However I understand them not changing that,
but the whole deleveling thing does need to change.

I don't think you should lose a level if you die right after you level up.
Especially since the exp you get from killing stuff is so much less than the 7% you lose if you die.

It already takes me forever to gain a level, even though I'm attacking red monsters.

I like then random aggro. It makes it more exciting when a monster comes close to me, cause I never know what's going to happen. My heart will start racing when I'm almost dead, hoping the monster won't notice me sitting down right next to it.

Those random aggro monsters really **** me off. I can't remember how many times I've been fighting a crown slime only for it to call for backup and double or sometimes triple team me. Having random monsters attack you while moving is okay, but random attacks while in battle is extremely frustrating

it sucks as a magician who has extremely low defence. The basic strategy is to freeze so they slow then blast them with a bunch of other attacks but when you do that and other monsters attack you, you only have the option to run because of the low def

If you ask me; Keep the random aggro. It adds some thrill and horror to the players. You never know if that Halloweenbear wants to slap you, or just say "hello".

But it can be really tedious in some areas like the labyrinth(random flank spawn goes aggro, argh!), the "snake/teddy"-forest and onward if you don't kill them one at a time with a bait.

Worse if they walk into the red zone and lay mayham. Acylotes are useless here unless they stand right outside.(A snake in the mine area did this to my party...)

Add on when a swarm follows another party where you are into the zone. >_<

Other times you can speed through a aggro prone-map while mashing the red pot-button. (Ran with a level 16 magician to Mystra Hill this way.)

The losing experience should be kept as you loose nothing else on dieing if you trackered close by. But never letting someone lose a level when they start to hit the thirties... Takes so long time to get back up again.
