help starting

Hey when i start the game, it goes white then black and flashes and i see a box with nothing in :mad, i dont know whats going on when i look at the site at the start up menu i can see exactly where everything is but on my screen its just black with no text or nothing in so i cannot log in, does anybody know why, took me a whole day updating and now i cant play makes me sad :( i just want to play and use an acolyte and heal people. and i do think healing people is the hardest in mmos i tried once and i let my team and myself die a few times and had to run away because of embarressment Lol. Anyway please help me enjoy this game thank you.

Make sure that your computer system meets all the minimum requirements (http://solstice.outspark.com/support/download), and that you have the latest version of DirectX (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/results.aspx?pocId=&freetext=directx&DisplayLang=en) and of your graphics card. I just started and all it does is upload updates... I haven't played at all yet. I've been waiting half an hour for the same four updates to download.... What's wrong?

i'm having the same problem that priestdrey1,
this is my computer features:

windows vista ultimate
2.5 gb ram
Ati radeon x1100
processor Amd turion 2.20 ghz,
directx 10,

i've updated the drivers for solving the opengl problem, and i still can't play, can someone help us please!!! ='(
