Mara Kq Cannot get kill credit

Hello, Im new to the game.
I'm a level 23 fighter now and have been in the "mara's rage" kindom quest several times (7-8). I'm having a very difficult time getting the kill credit I need for quest completion. I got Marlone's but cannot get maras' kill credit. Please, If anyone can offer any advice of anykind, also GMs if you would kindly respond to me as to if there are any bugs or whatnot, it would be greatly appreciated..Please help!

To get credit you must deliver the LAST hit on the mob. Solution: Grab every mage/archer and party them ASAP and hope they get the last shot since they have the best DPS.

grab archers only. Mage have high DPS but they hit slower.
It's better to have lower damage but faster hit rate to increase your chance of getting the killing blow. Also, make sure everyone use power scrolls.

I've actually managed to deliver the last hit on Mara myself, (and was fortunate enough for my mage buddy to get Marlone in the next KQ) and I'm a cleric. Part of this was obviously luck, the other part was simply keeping a close eye on the bosses' health, and when they reached that last sliver, timing my bash skill to when I thought they were about to drop. You could ask your teammates to do the same (especially if they're mages, who can unleash big, big damage chunks), but to be honest unless everyone else keels over and it's just you and your team, it's a gamble either way. That, or be in the same party as the one who makes the kill (doesn't allways work)
