Namless... Nice Person? Jerk?

Posted that a few minutes ago... Seeing how people think I'm a <removed> for acting nice and "abusing the mentor system"... I'm just bored and wanted to post something everyone could discuss about and I would like to know everyone's opinion of me...

If this thread violates any kinda rule or anything Please report it and have it deleted.




THE SHOULD JUST REMOVE THE EXTRA EXP YOU GET FROM A MENTOR THAN NOBODY WILL ASK FOR A MENTI ANY MORE!

nameless Acts REALLY NICE BUT ALL HE WANNE HAVE IS EXP EXP AND MORE EXP

At least it makes me act nice instead of ignoring em xD

EDIT:Think I should add its not what I think that defines me but its but actions that defines me.

When someone first meets me they think I'm nice because I'm acting like it and they enjoy their chat with me, but if I weren't acting nice I'll just be another jerk to them. I'll admit at first I was only mentoring people for the exp, but then it got fun chatting with people who I think were actually pretty cool.

Now that I got all the exp I want I don't even bother trying to get menti anymore, but that doesn't mean I start telling em go away noob or start telling them they're stupid because that would only get me reported and lose my manner. This game forces you to be nice if you want all the extra bonuses it offers, so why shouldn't I act nice?

People who knows I'm acting nice then I won't, like right now Mo I'm admitting publicly I act nice to people because I don't want to get reported or because I'm trying to get them to add me as their mentor or something.

Acting nice doesn't hurt anyone and if you think its bad of me to act nice then I would like to ask Why?

Is it because its like I'm lying to them? Well like I said before Its not what I think that defines me but its my actions that defines me. If all they see is me being nice they'll think I'm a nice person which I think I am since I actually put in effort to be nice to a person. I never tell anyone, who asks, that I'm being nice to them just because I am, but I tell them I'm doing it so they would praise or mentor me.

And the only reason Why I'm adding all this is because I'm waiting for my HP to regen >.>

Oh also I think there's nothing wrong with the mentor system since both players get an exp bonus and the student is suppose to lose his mentor after his 2nd job change. Its a nice system since it forces the mentor to help the student if they want the free exp, and its good for the game.

If Mo doesn't like me using his post as an Example I'll remove it. I just used his since its the most recent one about me using the mentor system... Its not like its just him who thinks that plenty of other people posted about it or said to me in game.

and what people say about you, I think you are a nice person.
I really have nothing against the mentor system... not because I quit the leveling race either ^^;
In my opinion, why flame about it if it's a function available ingame?

This thread is not really AGAINST the rules, but I will say I can see it getting out of hand. Also, I edited your post, because inappropriate language, or the use of bypasses to imply it, is not allowed. That said, I will monitor this thread closely, and perhaps get feedback from the other CL's in regards to this thread.

If by chance it gets out of hand, I will be closing it immeadiately, so please, even if you think negatively, don't show it in a harassing type of manner.

Well, truth be told, Nameless is a mentor for a couple of my characters, and he really helped me out my first couple of days. But no problems with him so far.

I find that reference to be somewhat subjective, but that's only because some people learn more quickly than others. I'm a crazy math nerd and theorycrafter in some cases, so I HAVE to see things in action for myself. =P

I think people are mostly feeling jealousy because of his level. My advice for you is to just ignore people who say stupid things to you or take away your manner points. Just play the game that we all love.

Okay guys, maybe this thread has gone on long enough.

Seriously, it shouldn't matter what people think of you. We all have good traits and bad traits. If you don't like someone in game just ignore them or don't talk to them. It's a whole lot better than butting heads and confrontation.

As for this "nice or jerk" thread all together. Some people would vote jerk just to be mean and some people would vote nice just as a joke. What it all boils down to is, you can't just use this poll to see if people like you or not. You have to have experiences in game to really know if people like you.

Also you can't go by how many manner points you have :P because anyone could easily just give them away without knowing what they are. It is our experiences and adventures that make us who we are in game. This has nothing to do with who we are in real life but what we make of ourselves in game.

This thread has definatly turned into a huge spam fest, by me as well as others.
If you guys have any comments or concerns towards another player on this matter just send them a PM, or you can send one to me.
