Is anyone playing SoS with Vista? Cause its just not working for me.

Same here but i just cant get in the game, i can log in and all but the char select screen is just my problem.

Please update your graphics drivers and make sure it includes OpenGL

I did update my graphics driver, and how do i know wut ver. of opengl do i have?

yeah i am having a similar problem. i can log in and creat my character but once i try to enter the game server all i get is a black screen with the music and random warping sounds. i just updated my graphices drier and it still doesnt work.

im having similar problems also
the launcher is not functioning well
and
when i get past the launcher
got stuck in other please
i was playing like an hour ago
so i don't think that the video card drivers are the problem

I do not know how to get this OpenGL Break is talking about. I found the site, but I don't know where or how to download anything from it.

SoS probobly just doesnt work with vista at all. ive done everything and it wont work. then i downloaded it to my laptop (wich i havent updated in 2 years) and it worked because my laptop is windows xp not vista

Vista is not good with recently updated games.
It dosen't really have the brains..
Bascilly, it aint compatible.
Sorry. Nothing much you can actually do.

Well actually, I'm running vista and everything is all Peaches and Cream with me. and I'm playing Wow, Flyff and Guild Wars on it too.

Im having the same problem and i also Play Guild wars on the same computer. Can some please tell me what wrong.

yeah I have Vista Home Premium and i have upgraded and downloaded and installed pretty much all i can and still have problems with it. I also play other games too so idk whats going on.

this is the only MMO that i am having problems with. wow and guild wars work fine on my computer, just not this.

I have vista home premium and I hate it enough as it is. So since there are people using vista and can get the game to work... Could you tell me your OpenGL settings? Right click on the desktop and click graphics properties. If you're using intel graphics accelerator, click 3D settings and then the OpenGL should open... But I don't know what settings I need to play the game... Or if it's even possible to play the game. I can create characters but then it's just a black screen after that.

well im using vista 64 bit dual core processor have updated all drivers with the latest versions and mine works with no problems at all except occaisional lag but most seem to get that btw its with a radeon x1650 gc

I don't care about the lag, I just want to play the game already. However, I want to know what I need to play the game. The makers of this game apparently designed it with vista users in mind seeing as how vista is specifically listed in system requirements... And I meet all of the requirements. Maybe I really don't have the latest drivers. I've looked on the website and I really don't know what driver to download. I'm using Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for mobile if anyone would be so kind as to tell me which driver I need to download. Here's the exact accelerator in use if that helps at all: Mobile Intel(R) 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family

Okay... I got it to work now. I went to the start menu, then clicked on windows update and then installed the stuff on the list it gave me... and now it works.

Maybe you have the 64 bit vista, this version makes a lot of drivers not install correctly which could be your problem. You need to goto the website of the company that made your graphics card and check that they have a 64bit driver installation. Older drivers will not work. Also, unsigned drivers will not work.

This is the video card of my computer: "SyncMaster 740N/179N, SyncMaster Magic CX721N/CX714N on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". What video driver should I use? I'm still having white boxes and black screen while in the actual playing. What/where should I download the needed drivers/video card? My computer has this label, "Intel Core2 Duo" (additional info)
