And ontop of that, we used to complain about how Fiesta has no storyline (like back in CB2 and start of OB). Well they finally made a story line! I'm quite satisfied with this event, I hope they start making evil and good GMs like back then, and have epic battles, that would be interesting.

We're just kinda disappointed that we waited a week and all for one thing to be released. Even my whole guild counted down for this, LOL.
But for the event, There should be at least a decent prize.

People shouldnt be so let down on this, it was obvious that it would be another SC thing. Sorry OS but you guys focus way to much on SC items than actual game play, least im my opinion. There could have been plenty of events you could have come up with this little thing that would be fun for both SC and non SC users.
IG and Forum events and tons of things, and I dont think randomly spawning mobs in a few places would be impossible (not sure how difficult it may be though ofcourse) but could have made the wait and excitement actually worth it.
I'm not let down cause I knew this woudl be another sc thing with an event like that. But eh.

I just KNOW that this is not the end to this. No man in his right mind would do this, not even to promote an item. I mean, its the worst way to promote an item, like others say, there's no point in making everyone get online and get all excited about this and then take their little happiness away by putting in something they KNOW that people will complain about... anyone would realize that people will complain. ANYONE. I haven't even played Fiesta for more than a month, yet i was completely sure that if there was a SC item release, people would complain. So Outspark should already know from before that people would complain.. Next move would be for Outspark to surprise everyone with something huge, maybe even better than just a cap raise.. Then everyone who would have complained would take back what they have said before and that way Outspark once again gains the liking of EVERYONE... Sounds to me, quite reasonable... I just wish this game wasn't just about pepole who had full pockets. We should be focused on keeping our players happy, and the general mood has been poor about the spamming of deal of the day, deal of the week, SPECIAL this, frankly, the players are sick of it. I mean fine you guys need to make money, but give us a break, most of us dish out plenty of money to this game that we don't have. This game wasn't always about the money. Lets at least try to make it fun for people who have tight wallets these days. This game used to be a nice release from stress and the real world, now its just another reminder of how tight the budget is and how much we really can't afford recreational activities.

i know outspark needs money to run the game. but they way they are running it is ridiculous.

i'm not complaining because they are making money.

it's the fact that they constantly shove CS items in our faces instead of improving the game.

Anyone can play the question game, but do it correctly.

OS provides a product, Fiesta. OS needs money to keep their product alive.

How much money do they need and how much do they have to operate it? We both don't know. So let's leave that out.

Hopefully we can both agree that a broken product will not sell either. And considering the person you were referring to was commenting on the alleged fact that OS focuses solely on CS items and not the game content, bugs, typos, etc., I would have to say that . . .

A broken car doesn't require me to spend money on gas when all the money I pay the gas attendant for the car uses it for bigger spoilers, shiny rims, and a cosmetic air intake.

Considering the event is in Elderine, Outspark will almost have to make the all the chests with pets and T1 mats. The economy would suffer a blow with a lot of lvl 30- running around with high lvl items.

i haven't been around for the events requiring spark cash, i left quite a while before that i think.

but i guess even if it was the common mini pets and t1 mats, it'd be nice for the newer players that haven't experienced this kind of event.

still... wouldn't kill them to give away better prizes and such.

We, the players, just want to be sure that our donations are being invested into improving the game, not just the Cash Shop. Being constantly bombarbed with SC advertisements makes players restless and annoyed, and to question whether our contributions are worth anything.

It is also possible to give away special, one time items, like weapon skins. That way, the economy won't suffer, and it will be a bit out of the ordinary. Everybody wins.

The majority of the posts that are perceived as bashes on Outspark revolve around the belief that Outspark spends the majority of its time on Cash Shop items, and not Game Content.

The Angels and Demons Event can be also used as a chance for Outspark to change the minds of these specific individuals.

Part 1 of the Angels and Demons Event was a cash shop item release and a backstory. For most of the individuals I mentioned above, this was a testimony to the belief held.

To sum it up, the people who believe that OS spends it time solely on CS are advised to quit, and the people who disagree with this statement are called booty kissers.

Both of these responses to the argument dont address what is going on.

There is an expressed dissatisfaction with the balance of game content of cash shop advertisements.

Hopefully with the increased productive interaction between OS and the end user, a balance for both parties can be found.

Otherwise, best case scenario the following will just continue repeating itself . . . and worst case? People will just one day stop playing and posting.



Question: What happens when your car runs out of gasonline?
Answer: Your car stops running.

Question: What happens when OS runs out of money?
Answer: Fiesta stops running.

Question: Where does OS get most of the money it needs to keep Fiesta running?
Answer: The cash shop.

A broken car doesn't require me to spend money on gas when all the money I pay the gas attendant for the car uses it for bigger spoilers, shiny rims, and a cosmetic air intake.

The argument that Outspark needs Cash shops items to run the Fiesta is not the argument being contested. As consumers, we don't know how much money they need and have and so that is not the concern here.

It is being expressed, that we feel the balance between cash shop items and game content is tilted all the way on cash shop items, which leaves an unsavory feeling in our mouths.

Outspark should be happy that this player is choosing to express how he feels about the game before he just simply ups and leaves.

But if you want to be consistent, take your own advice, if you don't like his post, don't respond.

In context, if he was relating the garbage car to Fiesta it is constructive criticism. He is expressing that something is not up to snuff.

If Jiece really wanted to bash Outspark, he wouldn't have followed the analogy. He could have just come here and said, Fiesta sucks.

It doesn't matter that someone called you garbage if you are business, what matters is they are expressing dissatisfaction with you. And if you can't see that, this conversation most likely will not be able to continue productively.

You should reread his post, because he is not telling you not to argue pointlessly. Avion is pointing out the obvious, you have not made any substantive statements so far, and you are creating either false or poorly thought out arguments and examples just to get your voice out there.

On a side note, he is referencing a film that basically shouts out a window "WE HATE MCDONALDS" through the medium film. He made a substantive statement squelching even further your empty example.

Emotionally, I am won over by the communication. Practically I am won over by the comment that it is not something that will be solely for spark cash users.

While I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, I don't think you personally need to apologize. I rarely think any individual should personally apologize for a company, and when it reaches that point, things are pretty bad. Good consumer-provider relations are already fostering in my opinion each time there is interaction, but productive consumer-provider relation? You just did with that post.

Despite what you hear in threads like this, OS is not a cabal of sinister cigar-chomping execs who sit around scheming to steal all of our money. OS is a business -- a fairly small, understaffed one, as I understand it -- and businesses are in business to try to make money. Is it really all that strange that they push the cash shop, particularly given the current economic conditions? They can't improve their product if they don't have money to stay in business.




I think a lot of people don't realize how hard it is to run a business sometimes. The staff does a lot more behind the scenes than many of us know about, and so I know I personally get a little agitated when I see accusations of lazy or inept staff.



You'll recall that Silky and Neko have both told us that substantial new content is coming in the near future. If we could all try being patient instead of puerile, that would be nice, m'kay?

EPIC FAIL OUTSPARK!!!!! The world is in recession and OutSpark could care less. "Let's release another SC item so players have to shovel out more real cash they don't have for fake cash." Right now the angels are being created, and when the demon set is released, thats when the demon corruption aspect of the story will be out. Basically all of us playing fiesta become the story, some becoming angels, and others becoming demons, and soon a huge war breaking out between the 2 sides before the sets are taken out of the shop.

Just a thought, would be fun though :)

I'm not sure, but I think for the most part no OutSpark representative has done this (since mid-2008, anyway).

...Though that might be fun, but if anyone has ever played the game Shaiya, that's exactly what they do. The reason why this couldn't happen with Fiesta is because everyone would have to start over and pick a side there and start the "Angels" in one area and the "Demons" in another otherwise there would be too much conflict while trying to get each class leveled to the right "Battle" level. The first battle in Shaiya doesn't happen until level 40 or so because that's when the players are strong enough to battle each other.

I am no longer interested in continuing this debate. It is, for one, not on topic anymore, if it ever was. Also, you obviously refuse to understand that I merely criticized his two lines of text, with my two lines.
