I was able to get a CB invite to Fiesta the first time around, and was pretty bummed to see that I wasn't invited to SoS this time around. Mainly because it's the closest thing to a 'new' Ragnarok Online that i've seen in some time. So, while I wait for the chance to be a part of the beta with all of the lucky ones, would anyone care to share how lovely the game is so far?

Visually it is pretty nice. The music is very good.
The gameplay so far is eh. could be better because it isn't very balanced yet and leveling seems odd since your first 10 levels are just a tutorial process.
After that you're on your own. The SoS Guardian gal tells you who has quests and what level you need to be to start it. Unfortunately, the drop for quest items.. is really really slow. So it may take forever to find some.
You start of as a non-citizen then become a Xenian after completing the tutorial quests which are fairly simple. Starter quests are like take this to this person or kill a few monsters.
After that you have to wait until you're level 16 before you can change class to the 4 main classes. But before you can even change class you have to go and beat up certain monsters to get a randomly dropped necklace piece of which you need to find 1 of each from 4 monsters. You can't change class until you get all 4 pieces.
All i know at the moment is Magician (which leads to Mage, Wizard, Archmage.)
From other threads the balance on the Alcolyte and Rogue could be better.
I am pretty impressed with the mage because his two basic skills are Ice and Mindbuster. The ice slows down the creature so that you can pummel it with Mindbuster. Although I think the amount of mana used by these two spells is either too much or the monster's health rating is too high because you have to sit down after killing one or two monsters which only raises the experience so much.
I've only played for a day or so but I think it can evolve into a very good game.
So far.. considering that the severs haven't lagged yet.
It seems that experience is primarily acquired by killing monsters and you acquire money through quests. Which is fine since this is an RPG and the point is to kill monsters.
Quick slots are pretty responsive and like all mmorpgs you have to wait a few seconds before you can reuse a skill. Most common drops are nothing or mana and hp potions which is fine. Potions can be used quickly and while you're fighting.
All movement control is through mouse and the keyboard is basically the shortcut system. To me the character walks kinda of odd but that might be my perspective.
Also you can change visual settings by going into the game dir and use the setup program. It's not linked in the startup directory and it isn't changable in game. This includes the fullscreen setting.

Reading both of those was very entertaining and helpful, so I thank you both ^.^ Just from reading those, I can already feel the surge of nostalgia I get every time I think about how much I love RO. I'm very excited to finally get my own chance at experiencing the game for myself. How long that is going to take, I can't say for sure. But I suppose I should find somewhere to apply, I'm sure thats part of it. I was kinda hoping being in Fiesta from the start would be grounds to try out this game too but, only time will tell. And if I have to wait till OB to play it, then I'll gladly do so. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Probebly better to forum search in feedback section, since a lot of people have posted feedback in the feedback section, which surprisingly deals with..... yep you guessed it.... feedback. ;)

I don't want the feedback you submitted to Outspark, I want personal opinions and the like. I've read a few of them in the feedback section anyways. Besides, I mainly want people to talk to while I wait for an invite.

hehehe plenty to read and spam with on these forums. Besides, it will most likely go quiet shortly as people turn up for an ingame event based on US time zone times.
