When I used shift-Z to removed other players I went into the forest.
I experimented to see if I could hit enemies while in shift-Z and I could not
when I removed the shift-Z mode I still could not attack the same monsters I tried to attack while in shift-Z.
I normally have no problems attacking otherwise.

same thing happens to me.my guess is that this is because someone is already fighting the monster n since u blocked em out it could confuse the game n just make u not attack.

I had this same problem when I first started playing this game.
It seems like, when in character hide mode, the dead monsters are not removed from the players view. You were trying to kill already dead monsters. I don't think the problem has been fixed yet and its a pain when you want to go solo and you always seem to target the dead monsters.
The only player side fix right now, that I know of, is not to hide characters which is a pain right outside of Roumen.

I have the same problem too when i use the character hide. They only problem i really ever see with it though is when i go to leave roumen and there are hundreds of slimes that should be dead.

That's not true.. you CAN hit enemies while in that mode.. they just have to actually be there..
the bug is that monsters killed by other players that you cannot see, don't disappear.. so you are seeing a bunch of things that are dead..
try hitting a slime the second he spawns.. it works.
