From what I can tell, you can use any punctuation character or just any symbol in the name of your characters. Not sure if this is intended or not but it is the only game I have played where naming isn't restricted to alphanumerics and either a - or _ character. I think it is pretty cool to have this additional customization ability but at the same time am hoping this won't spur a populace with insane names like ?!?<<>3dsf or something of the sort. Wondering what other people think about this.

Personally, I hate having &*($£^&*$" gook type names as it spoils the apperance, however, a lot of company's can't seem to deal with first and last name characters, that make things uniquie enough. I prefer the two name system so that everyone can have same first name should they choose, but the 2nd name is distinctive enough to give an appreance correct to the nature of the game your playing.
Sadly, I am not sure on this company's policy's regarding ingame names and I am not fully read up on most of the Ouspark's other policy's either. However, considering the lack of daily posts by GM's here, I suspect a lot of BS will go under the radar and report stuff will be ignored overall.

teifer, i'd prefer it if you don't say "gook" since it's a very racist word and not only "gook" languages have jibberish-like words, so do european languages <;
this is closed beta, so they're probably letting a unicode-free atmosphere run whilst
looking on the main bugs, and it'll be rather easy to implement the restrictions in when the official game starts~
