yup my launcher is giving me problems too. any solutions?

Yea mine too. It's like I start up the launcher, it patches and then doesn't work.

my patching was ...incomplete. It stopped nearly at the end.

-_- Maybe the patch is incompatible with certain systems?

So is mine, right after the tree cutting event. I restart my game and i get a 7+mb patch. My launcher interface changed after that and i can no longer log in.

I have a similar propblem. Had to wipe my laptop's hard drive clean and I am in the process of trying to download the launcher again...but I am having problems doing so.

HELLO GMS...SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH LAUNCHER DOWNLOAD!!! PLZ FIX IT!!!

I did not have this problem before when I downloaded the launcher. Only now when i try to download it, does the download fail during its verification. NSIS error.

steam, the patching has no issues with firewall actually :) as a gm, you should contact the devs or technical support team to find the source and then a solution for the problem.

Tried opening every available com ports i have, firewalls are off too. Nope it doesnt work GM Steam. So what's the next step?

Booo :P i had no problems with the old launcher with the same settings i have now. I still cant start fiesta with the new launcher. Turn'ed off firewall and got the following error message:

Well in another thread someone said that there's a file missing. I think he said that it was outspark.pyc from Library.zip

Gm i cant log in to the new launcher too. I could log in to the old launcher without any problem, my fire wall is off. Can you please solve my problem..i really want to play fiesta.. !!

I've been sitting here for more than an hour already. Besides that post about firewall(which ain't even the issue in this case), I haven't seen anything else that is constructive coming from the GMs or maintenance team yet... ***sighs***

well king slime killed me so i didnt lvl.

Hey Guys, post the following information please:

OS version
Which setup they installed from
firewalls they are using
antispyware / antivirus

I've stopped that patch from going out to anyone else until we pinpoint this.

As for fixing up you users who ran into the problem, I'll look into what we can do. In the meantime, the only "sure thing" is for you to install from the new installer on our site.

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
I downloaded the client at: http://www.outspark.com/fiesta/download_requirements
Firewall: None
Anti-Virus: None
Anti-Spyware: None

Also before I downloaded the client from the site...I would type in my info, then click play, nothing happened except, after a second or two, the main login window showed up again.

After I downloaded the client and installed it...I typed in my info, then clicked play; however, this time i got an error box...followed by a second error box, after i clicked OK, and finally after I clicked OK again it showed a bit of Fiesta loading but shortly closed then showed the main login screen again.

Did you reinstall it with the client you downloaded before today? If you did then it probably reinstalled the launcher then Mr. Steam "...stopped that patch from going out to anyone else...". I don't know if thats the case or not. Maybe you just got lucky? xD

Hi Fiestians

Are you able to access the game yet? I have a solution here. But though GM Steam is correct about the connectivity problem of the new launcher and the game server, I am sure most of you would just like to play the game asap.

***IMPORTANT***

Do not download your game/client from the Fiesta official main website! As that website contain client [Outspark_Fiesta.1.2.64]. With the current launcher problem with this version, you will need the older client of the game [OutsparkFiesta 1.2.60b].

Step 1

Uninstall your current Fiesta game.

Step 2

Download your game from
http://www.gamershell.com/download_20957.shtml
(contain v1.2.60b instead of v1.2.64)

Step 3

Unzipped/Install your Fiesta game again (v1.2.60b)

Step 4

Start your game. The older launcher will appear with a "patching..." above the Login and password area. Do not panic! Patching will start and stop almost immediately thank to GM Steam/Outspark Technical team stopping the patching process. The launcher will try to refresh and try the patch again for another couple of times and then give up. You can now login and enjoy playing! :)

It Looks like the launcher was unable to reach our patch server. So the real problem is that something on you computer is blocking the launcher from doing that. I would check your firewall settings, or try disabling the firewall altogether.

HE told me the same thing in the bug form.... i downloaded the game 4 times now... im not running any firewalls (game computer) and all i have for a modom is a crapy internet company one... it has no built in security.

i even checked all the comp settings 3 times... windows firewall is not on... and i havent had any problems with the last 3 lancher patches.

*SOBS*

well i guess its time to check up on some other games.

*Sigh* To no avail here...
Uninistalled one more time, DLed the old installer, reinstalled, started... It patched!... Ok I thought. Uninstall, re-install again, blocked with firewall until it gave up patching... To no avail... Uninstall... Reinstall... Deactivate firewall... Start up... It patched. It always starts up the white screen for a split second and drops back to login.

Now I will try the new installer again, but I'm mostly out of ideas. I really ponder what I did before Fiesta started to work. I installed SoS and updated graphic card drivers, since SoS crashed with the old driver. Perhaps I should either try to downgrade drivers, or try original drivers instead of Omega drivers. *ponders*

Any other helpful suggestions?
