I think your talking about firestones- and they are actually pyro stones, which can be found in Cobalts Cave

Firestone=Pyrostones
Random drops, people usually aoe for them. Aoeing does take a long time though, and the monsters will pop out of nowhere.

Pop out of nowhere constantly!
Think mithril mines times 100. If you are going to aoe then take another aoer with you such as a rogue. The experience is horrible.

If you're a disc/squire/neo you can do what I did and drag a few into the sz. Kill them there and you might get lucky. I got quite a few doing that instead of getting monster jumped.
