[GUIDE] Recycling SC Gears

So the last maintenance brought the new SC exchange system, which lets you exchange Permanent, Expired, or Unexpired SC gears for Lucky Balls!

HOW TO DO IT!

Step 1: Getting Mini-game tickets
First, speak to either of the Recycle Girl NPCs. There's one each in Guild Plaza (next to Einberg) and in Essene (next to the Item Shop)

Choose: Mini-game Coupon Trade

You will have another dialogue. Choose "Exchange" and open your inventory. Drag any unwanted SC gears (up to 4 at a time) and place them in the slots labeled "Please place an item to trade." When you're ready hit "Exchange" again and it will give you confirmation and the number of tickets you will get.

Exchange Rate:
Expired SC Gear / Unexpired SC Gear: 1 ticket
Permanent SC Gear: 10 tickets
Note: Only Gear with the blue background can be exchanged. Pendants are not exchangeable. You cannot exchange an item if you have the same item equipped.

Step 2: Mini-game
Once you've done that you will have "Mini Game Coupon" items in the Spend section of your inventory. Double click them to "use" them. You can use them at any time. Using a Coupon sends you to the mini-game, which is quite simple. Hit "Drop" to drop a poyo. There's a 50% chance of getting a "Lucky Ball Trading Coupon", a 25% of getting a HP Flask, and a 25% chance of getting a MP Flask. Each Mini-Game Coupon gives you 5 poyo drops.

Step 3: Getting LBs
Each time you drop a poyo, you have a 50% chance of getting an LB Trading Coupon. You need 50 coupons to exchange for an LB, which you can get from the NPC through the "Lucky Ball R Trade" quest.

I have noticed when turning in expired items, that if you have a like item equipped, Wearing a current green bell while trying to trade an expired green bell, you can't do it. You have to unequip the item and be careful not to trade in your non-expired item.

So i was only proving you wrong because the pig backpacks are better than the backpacks you can get from the cash shop. It doesnt matter if cloak or love is a better back slot item than the bag, i was merely proving that you cant get a better bag item from the shop that offers these stats.

Actually, I was really disappointed/upset when I got the 250 flasks. I felt so ripped off, rofl.

Then I realized, dude. This heals BOTH mp and hp, all the way; not just 300 or 200 or whatever. Even though they weigh a ton, they're super helpful! =D!!

those 250 flasks were weightless ones.. they just made them temporary weightless so you could get to a bank and deposit them.. :)

but there are actual weightless ones in the Recycle balls though. I have gotten both types.

Do you have another boost bag equipped? You can't trade in something if you have a copy of it equipped.

The LBr list needs to be revamped from top to bottom. Kit hasn't been online in ages, so I doubt she'll update this one. AFAIK, the only perm available from the LBrs is the husky from the Green LBr, which was confirmed by the GMs.

Plus, it would greatly help those people who don't want an opposing gender item because they don't have a character of the opposing gender to use it with.

Recycle balls are not gender specific therefore they should contain items usable by everyone. Or they should add recycle balls that actually are gender specific and add that part to the name!

When FoF came out with their LB equivalent, the Fortune Cookie, people were getting gendered items for the opposing gender. And, unlike Solstice, they can't store these items in their hotel storage to switch to another character; it worked more like Fiesta, where the items were bonded to the character itself. You can imagine how ticked off many players were when they realized that their opposite-gender items were essentially useless to the character that received it.

The GMs had to pull the FC from the cash shop while they retooled it so that when a specific gender opened a FC, the possible items they got were tailored to their character's gender, eliminating the previous problem.


Recycle balls are not gender specific therefore they should contain items usable by everyone. Or they should add recycle balls that actually are gender specific and add that part to the name!

At this stage of the game, with Reborn's release looming up closer (we hope), it's not worth it to retool the Recycle LBs now. Changing them to either be gender-specific or for the LBs to recognize players' genders for Reborn's launch is a possibility, but for the current game, I don't think it's really a big priority.

Which brings me back to my original statement: the Recycle LB list needs to be redone from top to bottom. Some people have already submitted what they got from the new LBrs; all you need is for someone to compile a master list.
