I can't believe we pulled it off! (mara kq)

I know people have a lot of stories they want to share well this is my story. So I joined the last Mara KQ on my fighter, Colgrevance (lv24). I am a pure STR build, and I use two hands. So we got into the KQ and people started asking for party invites; we all formed up when we realized we had NO clerics! Not even a lv16 one... So we all kind of panicked and what not. Luckily I had a few buff scrolls and restocked all my stones. I told them that I will try to tank the bosses so long as someone will sell me potions because I HAD NONE. I bought 50 from another fighter and 9 from a mage. So I had a total of 51 HP stones and 59 HP potions. Off we go killing and what not. We got to the first set of bosses and I asked everyone to do their jobs, so I tanked Mara first and we killed her faster than we thought we could. Marlone fell the same way to our blades, we had 13 fighters and 1 archer and 2 mages... A few died from fighting the bosses from behind, I asked them not to waste their lives.

We couldn't afford any mistakes because after that, I was down to about half and half on pots and stones. When people saw that we might make it they started offering me potions (which I deeply appreciated). We had a good puller and she pulled the right ones. Again, we killed Mara first, which reduced me to about 15 stones and 20 potions... So here came big old bad Marlone to destroy us, I tanked. The funniest part of it all was at the very last second I ran out of EVERYTHING and spam my skills so I can just kill him before he kills me... Sadly he killed me first (LOL) and then someone killed him, I didn't get anything. BUT, it was enough that we made it ^^; ... And of course I got complementary comments from my fellow KQer's. It was pretty crazy and intense. Was surprised I took a few good hits and not die, when I was a pure STR fighter O.o;;

Hope you find that story amusing. Moral of the story is, try it, you never know you will succeed if you never try. Fun.

funnyest mara KQ I did, our only tank died in the last pulling process and clicked the respawn in town button of doom. So we were left, without tank and still Mara and Marlone to kill.
There came a 25 cleric, who said he will tank. A cleric tanking *** will you say ?
HE was pure end and (don't ask me how) had a couple of tier 2 or tier 3 scrolls. He did an awesome job tanking both Mara and Marlone. Only guys in troubles were those who didn't think about managing their aggro *point mages and archers* :D

Congratz! I've been in many that people are just stupid. One game one guy said "Just run to fakes". So everyone ran. I was careful and used a few stones, but I was watching people get killed left and right and no one would listen to me. So I make it to the fakes, and that's when I realize I'm the only one there. PANIC! Then comes a party of a cleric, mage, and melee. I'm like, "we might be able to make it". Then the cleric lags and logs out. So now we're all panicing again and the melee goes suicide attacking mara, same with mage. So me and archer are left. Then cleric comes back in, and goes suicide too. And then there were too few people so it said "fail". XD It was hilarious and really sad at the same time. =P

funniest KQ I had was king slime, to make a long story short, everybody died, and there was 5 of us left, consisting of me (lvl 7 archer) a mage (lvl 14-15) another mage (had to be under 8, had no shirt) a cleric (15-16 I think) and another archer (at least 8, wasnt sure) we won it, the highest mage died before we did, but still, 4 people, 2 of which were brand new killed the king :p

i almost beat KING SLIM with 2 fighters, 1 mage, 1 clerc and my archer.

just after queen slim spawnd one of the slim got the clerc and then it when down hill fast after that. :'(

* you can beat most of them easy if you know how and work togther smartly.

not if your full str fighter... i know afew archers that are better tanks than fighters of same levl...

**BTW for low levl chars best way to beat King Slim it to have the fighters fight King, while the archers and mages fight the Spawns to keep clercs safe.**

ok. that was an amazing KQ. Really good. But aint not reason for somebody to say something about mages. We do a good job and are a highly valuable asset to the KQ. Congrats on the amazing victory!

Here is my story on a slime king KQ from a week ago.

all the tanks where newbiest newbs.they all ganged on one mob at a time,and eventually died.more died,and at that point some just quit and left.So with only a lvl 6 cleric(go sauce!thats her namelol)healing me(she did a pretty good darn job too)and a few mages and archers,Im an archer with only +3 defence.and I tanked!We made it all the way from the 2nd floor of mountain to the king and queen.but died there.XD.I was proud of myself.and little sauce found a snug place in my friend messenger.^^

1 of my peer was telling me about that Mara KQ, hah. It was elite2 or some guy. =) great job anyway. The worst mara i encoutnered was, they lured the fake mara and marlone, after which i lure the real 1 they claim it's fake and lure it to the side ... hah.

Did Slime KQ with 6 or 7 people early this morning. Did one previous to that one where everyone died except 3 or 4 of us, so I tanked the Queen 'til I killed her then got the rest of them. (Lvl 16/14 Cleric respectively for the scenarios listed).

Usually in Slime KQ, I insist that on the lower tiers it's ok to go apenuts and kill everything with disorganized chaos, but as we got up tiers, we need to let fighters maintain aggro and focus damage on one mob at a time. Makes it easier on the clerics as not many folks taking damage and makes it easier on the Support roles (Mage/Archer). Also, it kills the mobs quicker, so less damage taken per mob if done right. Once King occurs let Tank aggro it then all deal damage til support slimes pop, then additional fighters handle the mobs near Clerics....If done right, usually noone dies.

i did a slime kq last nite, was 8 of us, 3 of us were under lvl 7, and our only warrior was 6... i was a 15 mage at the time, and i was the one tanking lol. I tanked everything in the kq, even king/queen. it was too bad i didnt have king/queen quest when i did this kq tho :/
