I'm sorry to ask this but I've looked through and there are just sooo many discussions on what exactly is the best build. So I decided to just ask and see what I would get and then decide what to go with.
Right now I'm at level 47. I've got 50 points in endurance and then two left over from my last two levels that I don't know what to do with. I've heard various things like, "Endurance is the best way to go, full endurance," and then stuff like, "Twenty-five strength, twenty-five spirit, and fifty endurance is the best build by far." I'm not really sure what to believe because I've even hard, "50 in strength and 50 in endurance." Sooo... I'm slightly confused.
While the defense and the extra block is nice and so is the health boost, I'm trying to figure out if I'm still going to get the same amount of extra defense and block now that I have +5% block rate as well as...well I don't know how much extra defense. Is that going to change if I just go straight endurance or what?
Could someone please enlighten me on how this system works and give me tips on where I should go with my build? It would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the Swamp of Build Confusion. :D
For the record, there is no "best build." That being said, I'll quote what I said in another build thread:
I'm leery of heavy STR builds. I personally recommend a balance of STR and END, maybe with 25 SPR tossed in as well. A hybrid is a middle-of-the-road build: not exceptionally good at anything in particular, but, with a bit of effort, effective in most situations. Hybrids aren't as powerful as full STR builds, but they're also less squishy. By the same token, they don't quite have the survivability that comes with full END, but they're also a bit more powerful.
I currently have about 45 END, 20 STR, and 20 SPR, and it works well enough. (No SC stuff, either. :))

Whatever build you want for your cleric depends on how you play as a cleric.....I would recommend 50 END 25 SPR rest STR/DEX but if you're a PvP cleric, have 25 SPR rest STR and fill your gears with STR, DEX and most importantly......END

The first 50 points you put into END will give you 5% Block, the second 50 points you put into END will give you 2.5% Block, the third 50 points you put into END will give you 1.25% Block. So there certainly comes a point where adding to END doesnt appear to be viable.
Adding 25 into SPR I personally consider to be a waste for a cleric if they are not going to do a lot of solo time. The extra 5% critical hits makes no difference if you arent doing a lot of hitting. The Magic Defense from 25 SPR is minimal and can easily be made up from stats on gear.
Adding 25 into DEX I am trialing at the minute. People say no need but it is funny, my lvl 63 cleric has 35 points in STR, 25 points in DEX and the rest in END and gets *missed* as often as my full END cleric does. 5% Evade I presume means you will evade being hit by the mob 5% of the time. As I add more into END I will start to see if he gets missed even more.
Basically though how you are going to play your cleric determines which is the better build for you to have. A party cleric needs as much HP as they can so that they can withstand more damage from mobs while keeping the party alive. Where a solo or duo cleric can go full STR easily.
