I have absolutely no idea how to do either and I'd like to be able to make scrolls and potions, can anyone tell me how? :confused:

FIRST you have to select which 2 skills you want.. chose carefully.. once you decide the decision is FINAL.
Hit K to bring up your skills
at the bottom you'll see PRODUCTION SKILLS - click it.
You'll see a list of 5 skills, and 2 blank spots at the top.
Pick two of the 5 skills you want to use, and drag the icons into the empty boxes.. when you do.. you can use those skills.
NOW THAT is only 1/2 of what you have to do.. now you have to LEARN those skills.. so you go to the skill lady..
Go to the skill seller lady, the same one you get your character skills from.
Now do you notice there are 3 buttons.. ACTIVE, PASSIVE, ALCHEMY
the Alchemy button is where you get your skills from.
there are LOTS of skills.. and you can only use a few to start..
you have to wade though all the skills to find the ones you can use.
there are FORWARD and BACKWARDS arrows at the bottom, which will move through the list of skills..
right click the skill you want to purchase (ONLY DO IT ONCE)
then right click the skill scroll in your inventory to learn it..
Now you use the skill like any other skill.. assign a hot-key to it.. or hit K to bring up your skills, and Right Click the skill icon..
