No, if you want to talk you're gonna have to dowload another client.

does anyone even use voice comm in this game? it doesn't seem that fast paced... even though the chatting system is a little bad...

Voice chat is pretty much mandatory for group PvP in any game. It comes in very handy for raids and such in PvE too.
