yeah thats so true, like when i do a kq, healers in my party dont actually heal when i tank so im getting damaged which is no wonder why i die and they have to revive me makes me feel angry not knowing people dont pull together and help sometimes.

I had that happen to me earlier today. Got healed when I was sure I would have died. I offered the kind-hearted man a scroll I just made, although he declined. The guy is now a party-friend of mine :) With more people like that, the world would become a better place! (But you will always get those selfish people who only care about themselves...)

Youre also doing a good thing yourself here, saying thanks. I'm sure the person you are writing this for (if they read it) will be greatful. They don't get that every day I'm sure ;)

I've also got a cleric and have been a healer/buffer in many MMO's untill now, and I rarely get a thanks. So it pleases me to see someone actually making a post to say thanks! It's great to know there's some grateful people left! Makes me want to run around healing and buffing random people for the heck of it...

I believe in what goes around comes around.

I have been called a noob for helping where I thought someone was getting shafted, and it turns out it wasn't needed but heyho at least I tried to help :)

Let's make ISYA a better world (if I can ever get back in! Another thread!!!)

I have been called a noob MANY times in my gaming life for thinking someone needed help when they didnt. Sometimes if I see someoen getting mobbed by a thousand things, about to die, I'll heal and/or help them in any way I can. Usually, that results in an "OMG YOU ****ING NOOB!!!!" Kindof degrading. But I never let it bring me down... (Okay so I'm a bit emotional and it makes me depressed for about 10 minutes but that's just me ;;X_x) But...it's the thought that counts, right? :)

As said before, it's heart-warming that you made this post.

There are those (me included) who use those two letters "ty" and don't they just give you a warm glow?

I'm the kind of person that doesn't like 'words' such as:
r, u, ty, thx, plx, etc.

But if the person is in a hurry because they are in the middle of a battle I can understand. But if I were say playing a cleric and get hit with "HEAL PLX!!!! BUFFS PLZ!!!!!"....just no....

Short form: A 'ty' from a busy person is nice. A full "Thank you!" is alot nicer though... :) (And appreciated more by the general public...)

If you have the time (ex: Standing Idle) spell out your thanks, it's (in most cases) appreciated more.

I tend to do drive by heals and res's when I am playing. Half the time, I don't even see the name of the person, I just do it anyway. I guess I like helping :)
There are others though who don't care at all and would rather see you lay there. Those people bug me lol

I'd say 95% of people are like that...and I think I'm being too generous with the numbers there.

It's always good to help people out. And it's always nice to recieve a little "Thanks" in return. That's why I find this topic great :p

Hmm this is a nice thread. I've died several times and have received res's from clerics lol. I've also save many clerics and other classes from mobs aswell as other classes saving my a$$ ^^. So I guess its more a give a lil get a lil concept about this games community that makes it good.

i'll usually always heal non-clerics (or clerics getting mobbed) if i've the SP and nothing going on at that moment.. i'm not looking for a thanks.. i just do it because i can, and it saves others time and money..

I don't respond to heal or rev requests very often..

I don't know that it was me, but I'm nearly always offering heals, and rez when I can. Unless you ks someone and end up dead, or dying. In that case you reap what you sow.

Just heal, don't attack. I tend to shout "HELP!!!" if I need it. But even if I'm being mobbed, if I don't yell for help, I don't want it. But i can always appreciate a heal, even if I don't ask for it^^.

Also, I notice that when i try to pull a monster away from other ones via running to it, then running away a little bit, people automatically assume that I'm being chased and ks. When I see some one else running from a monster, I usually count to 7 (but not fast), and if they're still running I attack. But doing it immediately is really annoying. I wish we had a /help command or button that shouts "HELP" for us, or "help wanted by [character name] in F5(for example)".

I try and say thanks to the guys that heal me, too.
Some of 'em just run off though xD

I'm guilty of that. I do lots of drive-by healing while I'm on my way from one destination to the other and since I like to save on scrolls and horse food by walking I hardly have time to stop and say 'yw'.

HealerOfLight from Teva? If so...

Why did you kill me 2 times yesterday! I had to take the dog out to the bathroom and I was back in town...with this message in the right information box: "Attacked by HealerOfLight". I was in a non-aggro area too ;( I understand you were trying to resurrect me (I could click the rez now button) but since I was gone for a long enough time, I wasn't able to anymore :(

(You know I'm not angry about it because I have seen you run through maps asking people if they need a rez etc. :) )

If this is not you, please ignore this post!!

When I see someone getting mobbed I always have an urge to help. xd; Just as an archer which my first character was, I know for certain if I touch one of their monsters they'll start yelling at me. @_@ So I don't. But now I have a cleric as well, and so when they're getting surrounded by two or three monsters I just sit back and spam heal until they've cleared them. 83

Personally when I'm playing my cleric and am getting attacked by more then one monster, I don't object at all to an archer or someone luring away one of the monsters that are attacking me. I'd be a little miffed if they KSed the one that I was attacking, but if there are two or three others around me wacking away I don't mind sharing. xD Less healing = Less SP pots. <3

And when a healer uses revive on you it DOES say "Attacked by ____". Just because they targeted you and preform a spell, and so the scripts just assume that it's offensive and not supportive. :3 If it wasn't in a PVP area then there is no way it could have been anything else. n_n

I could have sworn those Ratmen and Boars weren't aggro. I guess they are then, although I have never been randomly attacked by one while resting! (Except for when I'm not there it seems). Therefore I rest my case and what was bothering me (Why people can randomly kill me in a non PvP zone XD).

Thanks for the rezzing HealerOfLight!

Hmmm....I don't normally attack anyone, and I am (to my knowledge) the only HealerOfLight, and yes on Teva. Like was stated before it will show that I attacked you when casting rez...weird I think.
My best guess is someone started a fight with either ratman or boar, and then died. they would stay aggro, and attack you if you're nearby.
Or someone may have trained ratman fighter, or sharp/bored boars on you.

GOOD idea for a post...

although most the people that are ****s during the game probably cant figer out how to get in to the fourms. lol

but yes ~!!! THANX !!!~ to thoughs who are willing to help others. :)

**if any one sees my cleric around you can ask for a heal... -about 3 people i will not help because they are falmers.**

*you will see my cleric in Uruga, sandy beach and forest of tide the most... usally not wareing gear in lower levl areas... makes me feel godly to pick on the little mobs with out any armer or wepon. XD
