I have noticed that there is alot bots around, that realy bugs me. (Less Now)
I have also found a way to kill them, it is not a great solution, but fun to do if you are realy boored ;)
For this trick you need to be Fighter, and have taunt.
What you do is that you find out what monster the bot will attack (It attacks the closest monster till it dies) , and then taunt it. If all goes well you can now start running, and the bot will follow your monster. You now have the control over the bot, it will follow you and kill all the monsters it sees. I used this trick in sea of greed, therefore I made the bot go to mara, and mara killed it....xD
I also think You ca try and give them Alot mobs (Most likely you die) to attack the bot....

The best way might be to report the to Gm tho,
But I realy hate theyre ks'ing and want them away fast.

Instead of posting a new topic about bots I'll just hijack this one.

I went to Burning Hill to kill Glow Wolves for a quest I had and ran into these two people: kwejer and ruhjda, a male and female cleric respectively. I left them alone. I could take care of the wolves myself and didn't feel like partying at that time so I went about my business completing my quest, but then, they ran over to me and started attacking the same wolf I was. I thought nothing of it. I'm not the kind of person that goes around yelling 'OMG STOP KSING YOU ***** N00B'. I figured they only did it to help me so I let it slide. They went attacking another wolf and I did the same but they killed their wolf first then went over to kill mine.

I already suspected they were bots just by their names alone but their behavior only made my suspicions grow, so I asked them nicely to please stop killing the same bots I did.

They didn't.

So, I started to test them. I would run ahead of them and start attacking a glow wolf and as soon as they dispatched theirs they headed straight for mine.

They're heading right for my Glow Wolf and even though I missed that time, you can see from the HP bar that I did attack the wolf before they even get there:

They attack the same wolf I attack. I actually feel sorry for the poor creature:

I try this a few more times, running ahead of them and attacking my own glow wolf:

And they cannot resist their botly urges and fall right into my trap:

I run into another party of players named DR_yu and DZ_q (a female cleric and male warrior respectively) and watch as kwejer and ruhjda start to attack their mobs as well.

I was going to tell DR_yu and DZ_q that I suspected those two were botting but their names were pretty suspicious as well so I said nothing and decided to stick around a bit and see what happened. I still had my quest to do anyway and I was darned to leave without completing it.

Anyway, I continued to subtly test both parties and sent the first party a whisper, asking if they were, indeed, botting. I got no reply. I also politely asked the 2nd party to refrain from killing the same wolves I did (since DZ_q seemed a little slash happy). DR_yu may have attacked my mobs once but she was the only person to reply to me so far when I asked her to stop:

Eventually I break away from the first party and concentrate on the second since I've read on the forums that the makers of these bots are sneaky and are sometimes sitting at their keyboards. I get no more trouble from DR_yu but DZ_q would not stop.

In this picture, that was their kill, I'm only standing there to make sure they read my message. They attacked together and since I assumed DZ_q was a bot and DR_yu was with him, I automatically figured she was one as well:

Eventually I get a reply from DZ_q but I'm not convinced since he seemed to have problems resisting his botly urges and whenever I purposely attacked a glow wolf near him, after he finished kill his he would automatically run towards mine, then stop as if his creator canceled the command.

DR_yu, by this time had moved to another location nearby but DZ_q had some problems following her because glow wolves were still spawning around me since I could not kill them fast enough. I kept warning him not to attack the same mobs I did and I knew he had to understand some English and probably wasn't Chinese like I assumed kwejer and ruhjda were.

After completing my quest I then got a little naughty and kited lots of Gold Slimes and Glow Wolves towards DZ_q. They were still chasing me but I healed myself when necessary while he started taking them down one by one while I ran circles around him. He then disappeared (don't know if he warped or disconnected from the server) and I supposed he did that to stop drawing suspicion to himself. With the train still on my tail I ran straight towards the female cleric in the first group and as soon as I got to her, I warped to Roumen.

Wow, I realy hate bots to ;)
Youre realy good writer and did a nice job....There is to many bots....should be some pk mode for them...but then people would kill everyone for fun =/
I wonder if there is any final solution for this invasion of bots??

About bots, you can PM any GM about it, also give enough information like bot names, location, server name and also a couple a screenshot as a prove.

I did that and the bot goes to jail as confirmed by my friend when she was jailed too :D.

Why don't we make a bot list that you think it's a bot? PM whoever you think it's a bot to me and I'll make a thread of who's a bot and who's not

I too found a bot killing mara pirates etc. It must have been going for a while cuz the bot seemed full, not picking up a lot of drops (including copper lumps!)

Soo once sure it was a bot i just made sure to grab all the bots loots, i started taking its kills when near me. :D

Training here mean u lure a several mobs to a certain player/bots. So basically you will have a 'train' of monster following you and you led them to the 'train station' aka player/bots. :D

I'm not sure where, but Steam's said that training/killing bots is a nono. Regardless of what they are, it's still harrassment.

About a month ago, there were bots i suppose in Moonlight Tomb near the Graveyard of the dead portal. My party and I were heading to the portal, but one of our members needed like 5 tombg foxes for a quest. So since there were a few tomb foxes by the portal, we stopped to kill 'em. There was anotehr party there and kept trying to KS.
We were done but the opposing party used their movers, aggroed all the mobs and threw 'em to us. We just ran in the portal. Now our party did the same thing upon to them.
They seemed like bots because if it was a real person, the logical thing to me would to run, but they attacked the mobs chasing the "decoy" and resulted in dieing.

Bots can get mad too =/
