Cleric Vs. Archer

Hey, I thought that clerics looked really cool, and they're fun to play as, but I decided to try Archer while one of my friends (who just started) caught up in level to my cleric.

...Thing is, I was SOOO destructive with the archer, lol. I stood in one section of the forest and just obliterated everything in sight, lol. I'm not trying to brag, I'm just saying...maad people were just standing there watching, and I went from level 1 to level 7 in like 30 minutes (as opposed to about 2 hours for my cleric), lol.

Do you think I should stick with Archer? Or do you think the mass exterminations will get old? lol. :o

Solo killing same level monsters with such speed usually runs out around L20. But stick to whichever you enjoy playing more.

Mass extermination does not so much get "old" as it does "impossible". Monster HP increases fairly dramatically as you increase in levels, until the point where you'll be trying to beg to join a party just to hang around in level appropriate areas.

Also bear in mind that you'll need to play differently with a cleric than an archer. Archers thrive against mobs they can take out before they reach them, clerics do well whilst outlasting mobs slightly above their level.

I have an archer AND a cleric. :3 And I love them both really~

Though Kholai is right. After you hit level 20 (My archer is level 22), it starts to become tough being an archer. You go through a lot of HP pots because you can no longer kill things before they get to you, and your defense is usually quite low. Kiting also becomes a problem once you get into areas that have lots of argo mobs, because while you're running from one another three or four will attack you. xd;

Archers really shine in parties, or even if they're just paired with a tank so that they don't have to take the hits. Clerics on the other hand are great soloers, so it depends a lot on which you prefer. :3

I'm very much a lone wolf type player, so I enjoy my cleric. However whenever I get the urge to party I'll be running to my archer in a second. Mainly because, Clerics become everyone's healwhore and everyone forgets that we have to attack and get our quest kills too. xD;

Hey add me I'm Executor. I'm currently 23 but from 20 i started feeling frustrated because of the job advancement and the pathetic places that i can train in due to my low hp which was about 310 T-T. I could only rely on ratman and healing at the same time or just Kingdom Quests. You must be very sociable to play such heroes becuase u have to party around just to hang around lvl monsters which are suitable for you. Today i tried training at graverobber's (forest of mist) and i burnt 50 hp pots and 1 vitality tier. Wow 50x 30 = 1.5s phew thats alot of money. Thats all i have to say!
