GM pls help me!!!!i being hack

on october 13, 3.00pm++(malaysia time)....when i playing in game, suddenly a message said that a multiple login been detected...then i relogin, 2 of my character being deleted, after few more minutes and others 2 of my charcter get deleted again and now i lose all my character, weapon and money....i hope GM can solve my problem here....

Nope, they sure can't help you. Be sure not to give out your password to anyone and know what websites you are going to. (sounds like you went to one of the gold selling sites maybe? hmmm?)

If you quit one game because of someone getting your account, you'd might as well quit all the online games that you play.

People do not get "hacked" for no reason. You had to have visited a bad website with a keylogger or given out your password.

Do not go to websites you are unsure about. End of discussion. (I don't even click on ANY links in these forums for that reason.)

You need to go back to your hooked on phonics tapes. I said "People do not get hacked for no reason". That means that a person who got hacked had to have done something in order to get hacked (Example: visiting a bad website and getting a keylogger, giving out account information for an awsome uber leet power level, etc.).

No they dont. You just showed your heavily limited knowledge of internet "hacking". Obtaining a keylogger/virus/trojan from websites etc is passive intrusion, not active.

If a hacker hacks you, they dont have to wait for you to "go on their website" first, there are other methods to compromise a firewall, and I'm not talking about the old brute force hack.

Giving out account information unintentionally or tricked into is a scam, not a hack.

im agreeing with roxias, only a very small population of people play fiesta OB. the hacker needs a reason to hack a FIESTA password...

he strongest possibility is a keylogger website(a "fan site, gold farming site, it could be any site related to fiesta thats not outsark.com).

another possibility is that you share the same password in some other site. dont do it, other sites, especially fan forums, can be hacked for thier passwords and used in fiesta. HAVE A UNIQUE FIESTA PASSWORD! ( has happened in gaiaonline before T_T)

one quick solution is to have a security key before you can delete your characters, i was surprised that you can just press delete key and the character would be gone.

Other games when you want to delete the characters, you would have to key in some security key sent to your email.

What the hacker is gonna wait for you to trace up on their intrusion?

If its a smart hacker, they would have gone through everyone online on your friends list impersonating you and asked for an emergency 'loan' that they'll pay back quickly.

Once they leech as much money as they can, they transfer it to their character and get rid of all the evidence. Who're you gonna ask then?

first of all i had 200 s at lvl 30, so 70 s isnt impossible, second of all, most ppl that actively hack online games accounts, actually do it because they can, and if you had any knowledge about hacking you would know that keyloggers, and that sort of programs are old in those circles, and ppl that use them are counted as totally noobs in hacking. Sometimes when you are hacked, the hacker is nice, and just leave a evidence of her/his presence or change you login if possible, but other times they destroy or transfer your item, or delete a char. I dont know how the system are in Fiesta, but alot of the other online games have tracer programs, that is used to trace a chars actions during a certain periode of time, and that make it possible to reincarnate a char to a earlier state, and see what it have done in a certain timespan, maybe that is possible in Fiesta to.

as anarchy and travellerdk said its not just about keylogger to hack an acc.

some people will even try to guess your pw which happen to me before when i was playing d2 lod (i'm sure d2 lod player know what i'm talking about how they can see how many ppl trid to log in on their acc) and guess what no could guess my pw so his pw could have been too ez to guess.
but on other hand he could have had keylogger that he/she didn't even know about.

well i hope he can get his char back since most game server make back up like every day but who knows

if he really was hacked and not key logged, then all of fiesta's accounts are in jeopardy... someone can bypass security and pull up a list of any1's passwords. highly unlikely.

Correction.. keyloggers and the like are for script kiddies. Knowing what 'hacking' means goes a long way in determining if one truly is A) hacked or B) a hacker. None of what's been said to this point has anything to do with hacking, at all.

To 'trace' a client in fiesta, one would have to compromise the compiled code, and pretty much own the battleship. Fiesta isn't like Blizz games such as Starcraft that use map sharing peer to peer connects. Paranoia doesn't help when there's a security discussion and people throw out blanket statements without infosec knowledge either.

for all we know this guy could be lying and secretly gave his cash etc to a friend or something then trying to get it all back again by saying he was hacked, but obviously hes stupid and doesent realise that its not that easy as logs are/SHOULD be kept of everything that happens

I've been playing MMORPG games almost since the beginning. My first one was ultima online. I have never had an account stolen in all these years. I agree with that other dude. Either you had an easy to guess password, a keystroke logger or you shared your account. I'm going to go with "You made your bed, now lay in it." as my answer.
