I'm just asking, what exactly is grinding?? This is kind of a nooby question but I'm serious. I don't really get the concept.

Grinding is sorta training. Grinding is another way of saying that you are training using ur energy and hands on clicking that mouse in order to get that level. It's not grinding if you are botting. Bots are a software that does everything for you. GM should stop all bottings when they first appeared. Wish GM didnt wait for a month later, seeing a game full of bots and people are leaving because of it.

kill monsters over and over for EXP gain and loot drops the word farming is kinda the same

i made a toon on teva server for fun HOLY MOLY there was like ever place i went to do a quest was same people attackig everything moving KSing ever mob no saying a word, they could be half aasleep playing or bots it was bad

I dont know either, maybe it means to find fun in game or to level up , anyway, make you enjoy this game.:D

That is another way of saying it. Different people have their own definition.

Grinding is when you kill enemies to level up and there is nothing more to it then that. If you are making a quest and gain level that way its called Questing

Pretty much Grinding EXP to lvl
Farming to me = Farming little Hobbs for gem dust till i can make 50 Elrues

grinding is killing everything you can over and over again until you level ... then doing it again .. and again ... and again .. and again until it almost becomes like work .. then it is a daily grind .. aka grinding.

wearing something down, exactly, that is where the term comes from in relation to this sort of thing.
The exp grind - doing the same repetetive task over & over & over again, not because it is fun, but because you'll end up with something after your done, these tasks are the things players dislike about MMO's (allthough they are quite necessary), and they wear the player down.
Later we might start talking of fame grinds, and people familiar with WoW know all too well of honor & reputation grinds.
