Durability question

Could someone give some insight in to how fast weaponskin durability wears down?:
1. About how much would your weapon-skin corrode by grinding nonstop for 1 or 2 hours in abyss?
2. Is the damage done to the weapon based on weapon use or you being attacked?
3. If its on weapon use does it drop faster by aoe-ing or does 1 skill count as 1 hit regardless of how many monsters you hit?

1. It degrades by 1 per hit. Go figure. With me, it might degrade maybe 50 times with 2 hours in the Abyss.
