help to much lagging

why every time i use my mage skills i start to lagg like crazy i like use the skill on the monster and it stays still for a few secs them its in front of me with my hp half gone.. and this morning it was working all fine no lag can someone help me wiht this

Most likely in the mornings there are less people playing.

Later on for me i know i get laggy too because tons more people are logging on and are playing all at the same time.

If you want just play earlier when nobody is really on and then just call it quits until the next day once you start lagging too much.

But that's just my opinion on what could be happening you might have some issue with your computer or something..

Have you tried turning your textures way down? (You can change it via the Options menu or the SosSetup.exe). Try avoiding areas with lots of players - Like for instance, the novice hunting grounds (Bryhild Trisects). :X..

But as I see it, Your computer might be running too many programs at the same time. Make sure your not running any unwanted programs. Otherwise, Your game will lag.

Like the poster above me, it could be something with your computer too..

Yeah I was lagging a bit today, but then I realized it was time for my scheduled Norton Scan, which took over an hour...
What's your Internet Connection? I don't think this game is for anyone on less than a 128k...

Okay, how much RAM you got, and what's your processor/processor speed?

no probs for me. this game is A LOT friendlier for my internet connection. i got 384up 64down adsl line. 1,25GB of ram, 256MB of VRAM, and athlonXP 2500+. sometimes i got BSOD though :D. but no laggy. even in brynhill trisects.

PS:5.0Mbps DSL? wow i dreamt of it.... where do u live? can i be one of the citizen?

it sometimes lags in the afternoon for me (I'll be clicking on a monster to attack and my character will start attacking like a minute later)...

Lag can be attributed to various things including internet connection, RAM and CPU, or simply a bug in the game. From what you're describing and how the issue seemed to disappear the next morning, I would say it could have been simply a hiccup in the internet connection between your ISP and our servers. Based on what you reported for your computer specs, that's pretty much ruled out, however video card (which you didn't mention) can play a huge factor in lag as well-though that would be a fps (frames per second) lag rather than a delay in actions in the game.

If the problem persists, let me know, otherwise I think it should have resolved itself.
