Fiesta-WoW Comparison

Hello, I'm new to Fiesta (actually, it's only at 40% downloaded), and I was wondering how it compared to WoW?

Looking at the website I noticed a lot of similarities, and I was wondering if they were really... that closely related as far as gameplay goes? Because that would be sweet; I can't afford Warcraft anymore and all of the free MMOs I've tried thus far have been awful; but this looks promising.

Also, one unrelated question: What class is underused? I plan on making my first character that class so it'll be easier to find groups.

If depth, quality and customer support are a must, then I'd suggest sticking to WoW.

There are reasons why it is P2P after all ;)

Otherwise, Fiesta is quite adequate as a time passer.

But it is like most games
kill monster loot
do quests
upgrade armor, weapons
slight +dmg enchants
make potions
make Buff scrolls
make enchant +dmg stones
make stuff from stuff
break stuff for stuff
deal with people stealing your drops, and kill stealing your monsters
a lot of powerlvl and gold spam, ( Turn off shout and normal chat in towns )
but its FREE and fun

Freedom of PVP in WoW essentially just meant getting mowed down by level 60's while you're level 20 and trying to do quests, and there were tons of teens/bots/spam/scam/gold sellers in WoW, so none of those are really major concerns. ;P

Uhm, one more question; how is the dungeon system? In WoW there were instances, that your group went into and was only affected by the actions of your group.

dungeons aren't instanced here.. it's pretty wide open.

they do have things called Kingdom Quests that are instanced.. but you aren't guranteed you'll be with your friends.. they take 15 players at a time, and it's the first 15 to hit the button that get in.. usually you are competing with 250 players trying to get those 15 spots..

In WoW, you're given the opportunity to create your own groups, in Fiesta, its totally random, in WoW terms, you could be going into an Instance with 5 Priests. Also, the competition to get into a Fiesta 'instance' is very high, if you're not good at clicking for 30 seconds, then you wont get in.

Tons of bots/gold sellers in WoW? lol, wait till you start playing Fiesta, you'll know what really is *tons* then. Also dont expect courier GM service in Fiesta like with WoW. PVP is limited to Guild PVP in Fiesta and only Guild PVP, there is no 1v1 duels etc.

you cant compared 5 years running to a beta game, give it a rest i see so many threads of this, i played Wow for like 3 years i have a 70 shamen my RLF's bag me to come back, but im playing this game, go figure bigger is not always better.

Fiesta and FlyFF are my two favourites; Fiesta has improvements coming too!

We're not comparing how successful the two games are, we're comparing similar elements of each. Just because you like a game more, doesnt mean it cant be crap.

agree but hard to compare so soon, for we know there making a super Pvp guild KQ runs etc. and stuff, who knows we can hope, im not saying this game is better or worst ether just a lot of ex Wowers and others come here make a thread of how to compare it. hope theres more coming

Fiesta is an MMORPG too! and you can take potions, or get healed by a cleric! you can fight with a sword, shoot with bow or use magic! OMFG!!!
We should think about if Fiesta isn't a WoW-Clon! May Outspark breaks copyrights! Because WoW was the first MMORPG ever, it invented the genre! and all others that have min. 1 part of it are similiar to WoW! O_O Just stealed the ideas being just WoW-Clons!!!111

So you ca compare it also with all other MMOG's ever existed. What does it have of Counter Strike? You can kill, wear armors and weapons..

lol omg. yea im tired of ppl acting like wow is the end all of all MMOs and nothing will ever be better then it, the holy grail so to say...i played wow...its sucked, and bad...really bad -_- got to lv 20 and quit uninstalled and lit the box and all the cds and crap on fire and watched it burn... each game will be differnt, and at the same time have similarities to other games...its like compairing apples and a rock most of the time...

Not really that hard to compare.

Both games are being developed all the time, I'm not saying they arent, I'm only saying what is present on both, if you think one part is better than another, thats your opinion, I'm not saying the game over-all is better or not, thats up to you to decide.
