I've been playing on one of my Clerics off and on for a few days now and I noticed something strange. I've joined two or three Gold Hill KQs in the past two days and both times, people started yelling about KSing. Whaaaat? When I was doing those KQs on my Mage and Archer, no one yelled around about that. It was just understood, even by us newbs, that killing something someone else is attacking is normal, the monsters are tougher and you're meant to team up.
But now, it's like newbs think they're entitled to their own mob and it's kind of irritating. You've got people running off the other way to collect their own bugs (Yeah, I'm not running half way around the mountain to rev you when you die, you're just going to have to use a heart, sorry.) and people claiming monsters and it's so bad that I actually failed the one Gold Hill. That almost never happens. :| One guy ran off the wrong way to collect bugs (which isn't even necessary), another guy committed suicide after a Fighter in my party wouldn't shut up and stop calling him names, and then when I asked them to stop bickering, the Fighter started yelling at me and telling everyone to quit KSing him. The whole thing fell flat on the last level which is amazing, I'm surprised we even got off the second floor. Geez...
Have things always been this bad or are they really getting worse because I could have sworn things were better four months ago...and were probably even better four months before that...

lol, I can solo monsters in Goldhill...
-Getting bugs sucks because of the drop rate and sometimes you can't pick the item up. So guess that's why they are trying to get the bugs....Sucks when your trying to just finish the KQ....my last 2 times I tried that kq the time ran out right before the we found the last key, as we were running to the boss gate... lol ;(

Fighters can bloat their ego's to the extent that their like "I don't need any help! Stop! I don't need any of your guyes help!" and so I stopped...I was the one healing btw LOL
Then he dies and screams its my fault, the rest, kq done, stalks me, and the rest again....

So,
Gold Bugs is voice?
and I think Insectus is Latin for bug.

@JohnNitro - Oh, I know, it can be a pain but you can do that KQ for like ten levels right? I figure that's plenty of time to get them, I got them without even fighting, I just ran alongside my pt healing and every so often, one would drop and it'd be mine. The first time I did that quest with my Mage, I was all worried like these people are but doing it five more times has taught me to chill out, they'll drop. XD I don't remember people running back around the other way as much as they seem to be doing now, though. >.<

I was doing GH a couple days ago on my mage and after helping kill a Grave Robber this 2x mage tells me not to kill the mobs he is. Isn't that the whole point of a KQ, to work as a team?

Quid?
My Latin is rusty, but I think you need a plural verb (or a singular subject), and I thought "vox" meant "voice". ;)
On topic:
I've only had this happen once, and that was also in a Gold Hill KQ a while back. There was a snotty mage who was upset that other people were attacking "his" bats. Fortunately, I've never seen anyone else complain about being "KSed" in a KQ -- plenty of complaining about not getting a kill, but never accusations of KSing. :D

I understand if you don't need a monster and someone yells, "Can you save 5 gold slimes for me, please" then you should let them at least get the last hit for those monsters. But toherwise it's a free kill. You're working with people you may not know and you have to work together. Working together means CONSTANT communication. If you need a kill and you haven't had any for the 50 past KQs, then why don't you make your voice heard in a way that doesn't irritate people?

Guys, vox has a double meaning: it can translate into both voice or power, and by voice, it is in the jurisdiction sense.
If I'm wrong, I'll just change it to potestas or something...

LOL *off topic linguistic rant*
Well, this might not be Latin now that I think of it.
Aurum means "Golden" the base word being Aural, meaning Gold, where in English we get the word "Aura". I think it is supposed to be an adjective not a plural.
As I said, my Latin is prolly more rusty, but Insectus/Insectum is Latin for "Bug/Bugs"
You are right, I think quid might work better...
And Vox most certainly means "Voice" in Latin, but since that does not make sense, maybe this is another language close to Latin.
*ON TOPIC*
Gold Hill is actually my favorite KQ lol. Despite the bickering and such, I just think it is fun lol.

At any rate, insectum means cut into, as in something that is separated into parts, which is basically what insects can be referred to as, but it's not "real" Latin.
Oh, and aurum means gold, not golden.

Of course I didn't read your reply, our posts are 2 minutes apart, I had begun typing mine when you posted yous lol.
Well, my expertise is in post-Latin western linguistics, so I am always "looking back" at Latin through English.
But I thought Aural was "Gold." Also, as far as power, how about the word Virtue? The Romans never really grasped the concept that "Power" and "Virtue" were not one and the same thing lol. Even as late as the 1550s, the common English word for "Power" was Virtue. Though this may have been from French debasement of the concept.
What is the Real Latin word for bug anyway? "Bug" is Gaeilege in its origin, from Beag, which just means "Small or Little".

You mean virtus, I think.
I don't believe there is an official Latin word for bug.
