Obtaining titles is fun for a lot of us playing Fiesta. Some of the titles also bring fame points, so there's a real point (other than trying to distinguish one's character) to obtaining a title. But some of the titles reward obnoxious behaviour.
The staying-online-for-days titles are contributing to server crowding (and lag). I'm referring to the titles like Fiesta Defender, Fiesta Guardian, etc., as well as Quiet, Silent, and Speechless. Characters are just standing inert (or sitting or dancing) for hours and hours and days and days to get these titles, and they're taking up server space. A character should be logged off after 8 hours if they haven't actually hit a mob in that time. Any mob will do. Then the staying online titles will actually mean something. You might have to set your alarm to get up and whack a slime in the middle of the night. The time limit for merchants could be extended to, say, 12 hours. This would also put an edge on the money selling titles (Apprentice Merchant, Advanced Merchant, etc.).
The chatting titles are causing reportable offenses. The gold spammers are bad enough without the rest of us spam shouting for hours to get World DJ. Chat titles should be limited to normal chat and the requirement should be that someone else has to say something every five or ten lines. Then the chat titles could actually be for chatting.
The friend titles aren't really a problem so much as an annoyance. A lot of players are really bothered by strangers asking to be their friend solely for the sake of becoming a Celebrity. Encouraging players to annoy other players is a BAD thing. Perhaps the Add Friend request could be limited to only those who are in your current party, and who have been in your party for at least 15 minutes. That would at least make some sense. Fighting mobs together can bring about camaraderie, sometimes. Of course, it can also cause a lot of anger and resentment. XD
