View Full Version : installation AND uninstallation problems

i cant even START installation, or anything. it WONT uninstall. ive tried to remove it millions of times. there are NO outspark files on my computer at all. yet when i try to install it it says "The installed version of the application could not be determined. Setup will now terminate." i was playing this about 4 months ago when the whole -?!- error thing came up with DirectX 10. i stopped. trashed all the files. did the whole "I've tried everything and still cant install" thing. theres nothing left to do. i try to remove it and it sits in my add and remove programs thing like a freakin 2k pound guy on a bed. doesnt leave. i DEMAND an answer. ive lost a dozen premium items to this error and ive had it. :mad:

and please dont tell me to patch it, ive tried, it needs the game to be reinstalled. which, obviously i cannot do. no viruses whatsoever, either.

If you haven't done so, make sure you're attempting to uninstall/reinstall using your computer's Administrator account and that you have full permissions. Also check to make sure that your firewall/anti-virus software isn't blocking/monitoring or interfering in any way.

If the problem persists, you might have to do a manual uninstall (by removing the files and registry keys associated with the game). Contact a CSR (http://outspark.custhelp.com/app/ask) and give them clear details of your computer, of your problem, and what you've done to try to fix it (if you have screenshots of the error messages, those would be helpful as well). Also, ask them if you have to do a manual uninstall and if so, what the exact steps would be (the registry isn't a place you want to be messing around with if you don't know exactly what you're doing).

antivirus, fine. full administrative privaleges. and id contact a CSR, but thers an error on the page that prevents it from going to the next page.

I'm not sure if it's still functional, but you can try emailing the CSRs at support@outspark.com (be sure to include that you couldn't use the ticket system because of an error). If anything, PM a Community Leader and ask them how someone in your situation could get in contact with Support.
