Hey, all! I was thinking today while playing and I was like we all been playing enough to be a decent level and we explored most or all maps (Some of us). So when are we going to see an MVP Boss? So I thought why not have an mini event of a town invasion with regular mobs then a MVP Boss shows up afterwards trying to take over the town!

So all people vote and see if you would like to see a mini event of a town invasion that would have to deal with some of the in-game story! You never know when a GM may look at a popular post ^^

Please don't be shy and post any comment or suggested ideas onto this! :D

I wanted to recommend an event like this--, and there are 2 reasons as to why it didn't happen.
The first being that the GM didn't even want to listen. And the second being that the server is going to lag...massively.

It doesn't have to be a flood of monsters. As stated in some screen shots the GM was able to summon a small-medium amount of monsters with no lag after the Podium Event. So i wouldn't think it would lag the server, but the users computer. Hence turning "Effects" off would help with the lesser lag on the graphical spells and skills. I don't think the GM wouldn't listen more as of... in-game he would be spammed with questions from users as usual in any game. (That's why most GM's just stay "Hidden" or have that hidden ability.) Unless you PMed him here then thats different. :D

I think this is a really cool idea,
and personally I never lag, even in parties of eight people attacking mobs.

I think the whole lagging thing has to do with people's computers more than it does to do with the game itself.

Rider does this every once in awhile. Mostly small scale, but have you seen the post in the Events forum by Break?
That will be so fun. Protecting the Xens and fighting with friends. ^_^
I should log in with my Xen and just curl up in the fetal position.

Haha nah as the guardian gave you power to protect the city too! :D Plus wee'll protect the Xens!

Also he may do this as a small scale... but now its larger! If we win we get a 50% exp and drop rate increase during the weekend!! Double + +! Prepare for warrr!

XD! >_> I voted for the "I'm scared" one. Only because the last time I fought a monster in Arcarinas Square that Rider spawned killed me. >_>

But I remember a few days ago, Rider was probably online somewhere in the game (not in the square) and monsters came out of nowhere! O_O [Notices] were popping up about some evil guy producing monsters and us Xenians had to fight them off to protect Xen. :D It was kind of fun and scary at the same time. o_o

MVP is actually an RO term... Its a special type of boss

If this happens Ill be laghing my butt watching noobs get pwned by the boss.And maybe get some popcorn too.Then again how often do you think gms check the forums anyway I ask you.But if it happens I wonder what the boss will be.

Anyway, MVP, or Most Valuable Player, in RO is actually a sign that appears over the head of the player who did the most damage to the boss (among other factors I think… basically, who contributed the most to killing it) and it gives a bonus exp, a few items (drops that can only go to the mvp, still depends on the chance) and I think that was it. Over time, the term got wrongly applied to describe the bosses rather than the player who killed it and that’s how nowadays, bosses are called MVP on RO. Dunno if any other game uses the term though.

And while we're at it, I wonder if there's any item that summons a monster (and thankfully, bosses too) so that we can gather a few and make our own invasion on some city :D well, as long is it's not penalized of course :p

It was CB there weren't any omega boss' in implemented yet during that build but when OB comes out im sure there will be one :cool:

If some boss does come then we are going to need some people with high levels. And its not going to be for awhile then. 1.000.000 noob meatshields wont do it.
