I have a S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR video card (Yeah, make fun, it's an old computer).
There are no drivers on the site that match it, is there anything I can do to make it so that there is some text in my game?

Any assistance is appreciated.

If you cant find any suitable drivers for the card, than the only thing you would have to do is buy a new one :/. Im sorry.

Look for an application called Everest Home Edition, it detects very accuratly all the information about your computer (hardware/power/temperature... its pretty usefull).

Goto media > video card scroll down it will have detected your graphics card and will show you all the info you need, including a link to download the newest drivers.

Thank you, Greengiant. I'll get right on that.

[Edit]Turns out you have to pay for that.... Damn...

Well, the most recent update that I found last night was around September of 2004. I already have that update.... so it seems all we can do is get a new computer.

Yeah you're right...I just downloaded the latest version which was 13.94.65 rotation...I even downloaded activex 10 to support it but nothing worked...Well, I guess that means I'm off to buy a new video card.

You'd think that someone would come up with a way to make it work, the S3 ProsavageDDR was the standard on-board video card for emachine computer systems for quite awhile.
Hopefully a workaround is found soon, or else SotS is going to lose quite a few players.

Where do you download OpenGL 1.2, as well as the other latest drivers?

This is the video card of my computer: "SyncMaster 740N/179N, SyncMaster Magic CX721N/CX714N on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". What video driver should I use? I'm still having white boxes and black screen while in the actual playing. What/where should I download the needed drivers/video card? My computer has this label, "Intel Core2 Duo" (additional info)

Plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you guys just go to Newegg.com and buy a new video card? You can get a simple 128mb if you must for like $25. Or you can go like me and get dual SLI nvidia 8800gts lol XD but that was a lot of money wasted cuz even with the latest actual games that are out on disc... You don't even need that much video ram.. (1024mb btw) But seriously just get a 128mb it's all you need for cheap. Cheap shipping too :)
Now i didn't read any forum rules so if postin this advertisement gets me in trouble... well then crap lol. ( I don't know where forum rules are )

I found on the S3 Graphics Co. site drivers for your card. It was listed as 4th from the bottom of the chart.

S3 Graphics Drivers (http://www.s3graphics.com/en/resources/drivers/legacy/software_archive.jsp)

I would however highly recommend (as everyone else is also) upgrading your graphics card as it is below the minimum requirements for SoS:
